The Federal Government claims most people on the Newstart allowance are "job snobs", refusing to take work.
Centrelink will be given more powers to contact employers whom jobseekers claim to have approached for work.
Newstart recipients are already required to keep a diary of their attempts to find a job, including employers' names and phone numbers. Centrelink can cut welfare recipients who do not meet these requirements.
Question:
I worked for Centrelink for 6 years and found that there were a number of people that were bludgers, and a number of people that took what ever job they could find.
Are you, or do you know someone that is a job snob?
Are there jobs in your area that seem to go unfilled, although Centrelink lines are constantly busy?
What do you think about having 'skilled migrants' brought into Aust. Instead of training the already unemployed?

Why would a species of bottom-dweller that's never been known to breach LEAP into a boat? This article makes it sound like stingrays are attacking people. I pity the poor creatures that get killed because of idiots slaughtering them en masse.

Some justify crimes in the name of being chosen. For exmaple Talmud (Which is written by extremly corrupt and racist scholars) tells that every Jew is automatically forgiven, even if he does not ask for forgiveness, on Yom-e-Kipur for committing bla bla (A big list of all sorts of crimes agisnt Non Jews). No way. The God is the Most Just. Then some people consider others talking animals, killing of whom is absolutly kosher!Some tell their judges to give verdict in the favor of their followers no matter how wrong they are! Some call Non Jews as gentile meaning in Hebrew Bastard! Some call congenital hypothyroid mentally retard a creatin menaing Jesus like while we know that Jesus (PBUH) was the cutest child as he spoke wisely as new born infant. I like the concept of chosen as role model in Islam. Prophet is role model for you and you for others, thus more responsible rather thanhaving more privilages and licence to commit crimes. Muslims are chosen as they have intact book of the God

Well I feel lonely, and as if people hated me or just don't care. I'm always alone everywhere, at school, and at parties. I wear black everyday. I cry practicly everyday because I just feel as if I was invisible and no one cares about me. I also think the world is just trying to eat me! Gah! So what do you think?

Ex-Enron CEO Skilling Gets 24 Years in Prison

HOUSTON (Oct. 23) - Former Enron Chief Executive Jeffrey Skilling, who gained infamy as the man who orchestrated the largest corporate fraud in history, was sentenced to more than 24 years in jail Monday.

In addition, Judge Lake denied defense attorney Daniel Petrocelli's request to lower the sentence by 10 months in order to allow Skilling to serve his sentence at a lower security- level penitentiary.

More than 4,000 Enron employees lost their jobs - and many their life savings - when the company declared bankruptcy in December 2001. Investors lost billions.

Enron's collapse marked the first of the high-profile corporate scandals that rocked the nation after the 1990s economic boom, followed by WorldCom, Global Crossing, Adelphia and Tyco. The wave of fraud led to passage of the Sarbanes-Oxley law that tightened oversight of how American companies are audited.

Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having "In God We Trust" on our money and having "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. As you know, Bush has had our troop in Iraq for quite some time.
