Why does 70% of americans not have a passport?

Is it their ignorance?

Unwillingness to explore countries that have something called "history" and "culture"?

Because they might find out that Britain is not a country and might actually learn to disassociate England, Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland?

They feel safe in the sanctury of other "like minded" people?

They believe being america is the only way of life explaining their need to bomb any other place that believe otherwise?

Too many fast foods are stopping them from leaving the sofa?

Discuss.

Ever see the movie "The 10 Commandments", when GOD,
(or was that charleton heston) yelled out the commandments
in his best King James english(yeah, right, 800 BC, and God
is speaking at 1500's version of a language that doesn't even exit yet)?
Well, what would god say to us in King James english if he chose
to do so in our modern day? Here's a few things I think he would
say to us
1.)What part of "thou shalt not" don't you understand?
2.)I love you and you and you and you and you and you and.........
3.)We need to talk
4.)Need directions?
5.)Big Bang theory? You've got to be kidding!
6.)Keep using my name in vain and I'll make rush hour longer!
7.)That "love thy neighbor" thing? I meant that! Really I did!
8.)My way IS the highway!
9.)Don't make me come down there! I mean it!
10.)Explain this Holy Trinity thing to me one more time.
11.)I created you, gave you live, and you go and elect Bush?

on that catch a pred but really 13 is legal in some countries.....and it really isn't always the guys fault. These 13 yrs olds sometimes dress and act like 17, 18. My friend's daughter told a guy she was 18 and slept with him. I think that people should be better parents. Maybe even take some responisbilty and not have kids. People should be tested before they should be allowed to have kids, myself included.

Okay so yesterday, I heard there was a attacking of a single 25 year old in a montreal college. He's into goth and violent video games. here's the site : http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2006/09/14/gunman-shooting.html

WARNING : May offend some people. If you do not like guns or weapons, I advise you NOT to go to this article!

This is shocking to me. He goes to vampirefreaks.com and says that he doesn't trust anyone and this is way he turned goth. This site should be closed and sued for this. What do you think?

Amnesty International has finally figured out Hezbollah was commiting war crimes.

According to this article

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060914/ts_nm/mideast_lebanon_amnesty_dc

AI has come to the conclusion that Hezbollah was intentionally targeting civilians. WOW what a revelation!

Of course they reported three weeks ago that Israel committed war crimes because they were attacking infrastructure and blockading Lebanon.

I'm not saying Israel didn't intentionally targeting civilians in some cases. But when Hezbollah fires 4000 rockets at towns and know that it's not likely any will hit anything of military or strategic signifigance, it's not rocket science to figure out you are just trying to see how many civilians you can kill.

"Kimveer Gill, 25, of Laval, near Montreal" shot over 20 people leaving one dead and many in very critical condition. Apparently one of his favorite video games was called ""Super Columbine Massacre," an Internet-based computer game that simulated the April 20, 1999, shootings at the Colorado high school by two of its students that left 12 classmates and one teacher dead."

I don't know about you guys but I think we have gone a little two far with our freedoms. It should have been intuitively obvious with a title like this it should have been banned if no other reason but respect for the victims.

However we still are in dire need of some rational and balanced laws, not laws that are polarized to cater to one particular ideal at all costs. If reality does not respond positively to our laws or lack of them then logically we need to adjust them appropriately.

While Iran states that its intentions for developing nuclear reactors is purely for power generation, is there a risk that they have a hidden agenda. It is very perculiar that a nation with so much oil has a need to develop alternate and more expensive energy sources. Furthermore can we take the chance of letting such an unstable regime ever developing nuclear weapons? The Bush administration may be right to make a stand now then face the consequence of some terrorists getting hold of nuclear devices in the future. It may be risky to start a conflict with Iran but do you prefer to do it it or live with the very real risk of some terrorist smuggling nuclear weapons into our nations? Even though the current Iranian government may be rational, there are enough fanatical factions in Iran who may one day seize power and they may be crazy enough to use nuclear weapons. Do we risk a conventional war now or a nuclear war in the future? Everyone like to criticize Bush but what would you do?

I was reading this and noted that the photo of the Taleban fighter in the truck was odd. If he is real, then he is a Giant. I guess he is over 7 feet tall. Is this a fake photo by AP?
