The walmart registry is type of a present registry. I said an illustration in walmart the different day saying that walmart is going to provide up having layaway besides. i imagine like the top of the month is the perfect you may placed something on layaway.

Yes it is true. I work in Walmart in my town and it is nationwide layaway closing. The reason for the closing is Walmart is losing stock holders because they feel that Walmart is spending to much money on storage and since money talks and stockholders are not happy. Layaway has to go. Walmart doesn't care about the people's needs only the stock holders. Since the stockholders have major money invested in walmart, they over rule the decision verse the needs of the people. You will also see alot of less employees in Walmart because alot of employees are very unhappy with other changes that is going to happen in Walmart which I am not liberally to mention but keep your eyes on the news everyone. Take care, Terri

yes...on CNN this morning...Walmart is suppose to be for the average, hard-working American trying to provide a good Christmas for their family and friends by using layaway to be able to afford to give nice presents. I say Walmarts decision to end layaway departments just plans sucks. Bye-Bye to alot of profits for Walmart.

anyway if you would like walmart to reverse this decision call 1-800- walmart and ask that this be reversed or you can e-mail them at walmart.com click on contact us and ask that it be reversed i did both.
kmart has layaway for information call 1-800-549-4505 or go to kmart.com click on contact us and ask them about heir layaway.
i heard that target was getting layaway ( but i am not sure if that is a rumor or not )
i will us kmarts layaway and if target gets layaway then i will use theirs, so long walmart, you will not get my money anymore.

Yes, I have and I am completely disgusted. The number of businesses in my town that have closed on account of Wal-Mart and then they claim that loss of revenues is a believable reason to discontinue a program that benefits those of us in the lower classes of America!?!?!?! **** Wal-Mart, there's a Taget and a K-Mart right down the street in either direction and I'm quite sure they'd be more than happy to take my money.

I work at a Wal-Mart in Texas and we're not closing our layaway... I never heard anything about it... I guess that's what happens when you work all of the time- thanks for mentioning it, I will talk to my manager and see what he says.
