It has huge 5 point leaves with small jagged pointy edges. the underside of the leaves seem to be like tiny tiny thorns and are anywhere from 6 inches to 2 feet in length. It has thick hairy like stalks. its green. It just bloomed these really big orange/yellow colored flowers, star shaped. The size of the entire plant is around 5 foot at widest point, about 2 foot tall. Theres two of them. A neighbor said they are either squash, zuchinni (sp) or cucumbers....Any other suggestions?

I have a row of 3 different tea roses(?), about 20-25 feet long. They were here when we bought the house over 17 years ago. I have never pruned/cut these. How far down can I cut these, when is the best time to do it.

I live in Louisiana where houses are raised and I really want a cheap and easy way to cover underneath the house ie..lattice but I don't want to bother with lattice because of having to cut each piece to size. Any suggestions on a different material that I could use to cover the underneath? I just hate being able to see underneath the house.

What is the least expensive way to create a patio? It needs to be functional for cooking and entertaining. It also needs to be something I can do on my own. I am very busy and have no experience with renovating.

I have a Mecardonia "Goldflake" in a hanging basket. It was beautiful up until a few days ago. The under foliage has turned dark brown (it looks like it is burned). I have watered them religiously and they have never been "over dry", so I don't know if this is normal or if they have been burned by the sun. The flowers are not blooming as much as previously. I have moved it to a less sunny area since the hot weather started, but I am curious if I did something wrong. Please help :)
