i am 13 and i have had my period for about 3 years and it is still not on a regular schedule. i seem to be skipping a lot of months and it is never just heavy or light. it will last a long time when i do have it. like 3 weeks. i was talking to my friend and she said that her moms friend had what i had around the same age as me and it was a infection down there. do u think that i need to talk to my mom about going to the gyno. (never been there and DONOT want to.) Please give me answers.

Thanks!!!!!!

Do any of you have episodes of "flooding" when having a period. I'd say every 6 months or so, I have one that is very, very heavy. Does this happen to anyone else, and do you know what might cause it?

Ok, so I've never had this problem before until just recently (3 or so days ago). I don't like to shave of all my pubic hair but lately... it's been *hurting* me. Like it's suddenly become too coarse and is irritating my skin or something and it sort of hurts to touch it too. But my skin doesn't look red... but it itches when I wear even slightly fitting pants and inevitably begins to sting/feel *very* uncomfortable. If I leave it alone and don't aggravate it, it still feels uncomfortable but not so bad that I wanna tear someone's eyes out.

Is it possible my skin is just dry/irritated, even though it doesn't look red? It doesn't hurt all the time and it is NOT crabs. Is there anything else I can do short of just shaving it all off?

I have an inactive Thyroid, taking synthroid and it helps very little. I feel so tierd all the time and have no desire to do the things I know I need to do. Nothing seems to matter to me anylonger except my 2 grandsons, 6yrs and 2yrs. I am 58 and shouldn't feel this bad all the time. I ache all over. And this is a daily thing. Is there anything I can do for this, I am loosing special moments with my grandchildren. And it is causing other problems, I can't remember things. I have always handled all business and household business myself, and I can't seem to do any of it anylonger. This is causing searious problems for me and my family. Appreciate any advise from someone who has been where I am now. Thanks so much.

If so, how long are your periods and when did the spotting stop? I'm on my second pack of Loestrin 24 and I have been spotting since I've started taking it. I'd like to know if I will really see the benefits after 3 months.

my g/f and I of two years want to have sex soon (for the first time) and would like to know which condom will be beneficial for both her and I? We both want a condom that can provide the most natural feeling as possible.

I have exams very soon which I fear may clash with my period which is an absolute disaster because I get so ill (vomiting, cramps etc) as most of you most probably know. I have never used the pill , if I take it does it delay the period? For how long? Are there any side effects? When do I need to start taking it if my exam is in 3 weeks? Please help!

Okay, this is one factor in my problem: I recently got off the pill (in the middle of the pack). I'm currently 3 weeks away from starting my normal cycle, and I was told to expect an abnormal period getting off the pill.

Now, my problem is this: I've actually had this happen for a long time, but never questioned it.. before, during, and after my period, I get a jelly-like, thick, and 'squishy', discharge that is dark red. Usually it's a small amount, and I blame it on the fact that I was either aroused or sexually active during my period, and the mucous made just gets mixed with blood. I'm sure that's all it is, because it doesn't hurt, and it's the same consistency as normal, just drenched in blood (and it's so icky). But this morning when I woke up, I felt a LOT of blood just waiting there.. you know that feeling, ladies. So I went to sit on the toilet, and a GIANT glob of this stuff fell down.. it worried me, and I don't know if this is normal for others.. please clarify :(

By not fitting I mean lenght. I use the thicker absorbent tampons, but it feels like I am sitting on a pogo stick. Looking for shorter lenght tampons that are super absorbent with a string.

I am almost 40 and have been using tampons for a while. It isn't until recently that I have been needing to use the super absorbent one. I have asked my doctor and she was not very helpful.
