By not fitting I mean lenght. I use the thicker absorbent tampons, but it feels like I am sitting on a pogo stick. Looking for shorter lenght tampons that are super absorbent with a string.

I am almost 40 and have been using tampons for a while. It isn't until recently that I have been needing to use the super absorbent one. I have asked my doctor and she was not very helpful.

OB is shorter, even the superduper absorbency...
The menstrual cups work well too.

The problem probably isn't the length but the added roundness. Especially if you have been using standard tampons in the past. You might have to use a less absorbant tampon and just change more often. Thats what I had to do and I am 5"11. The super absorbent tampons never felt "right". So, I went back down to regular and change every 3 hours or as needed.

Perhaps the answer here is to move away from tampons and their health risks, and use a product like "Instead" which has no health risks and will not make you feel like you are sitting on a pogo stick. There are other menstrual cups too like the Mooncup, the Keeper, and the Diva cup.

DO NOT CUT THE TIP OFF OF A TAMPON! That is dangerous and can lead to fibers remaining inside of your vagina.

are you trying to say your vagina is shorter in length or not very much longer than a tampon's length? The only time i can actually feel one inside is when its not placed correctly, for example not deep enough. I have never seen a tampon shorter than the regular sizes.

Try OB brand they are shorter. You simply may also need to use a pad with your tampon as your periods are probably changing with age.

You're just putting it in far enough. If nothing else, cut the tip of it off some. It won't hurt to cut it.
