I currently have a copper t coil and have experienced various problems with it including excessive blood loss and, most recently, bleeding for in excess of 6 weeks.

Although my current coil has a life expectancy of 8 years, I've had mine for 5 years and it has been suggested by a Dr for me to have it removed and replaced with a Merina.

I don't fare well with hormones, the combined pill gave me such serious headaches that I used to be on the verge of blacking out. The progesterone only pill left me feeling out of sorts and at the mercy of vicious mood swings. The Dr explained that the Merina doesn't have the same effect as the oral contraceptives as the hormone is delivered directly to the uterus and very little of the hormone is absorbed into the blood stream. She thinks I won't experience the same side effects as the oral pill but I would like to hear from people that have used, or are currently using the Merina and what their experiences of it are (good or bad)

If I need a doctor to interpret a hormone test and also run other hormone tests to see if I have an imbalance, what kind of doctor would I go to?

My period has also spaced out a ton more (maybe due to hormones?) and a big concern is that I might not being losing weight because of a hormone imbalance as well.

Who is better? A gynocologist? A nutrtionist? Or is there a specific doctor who specializes in hormone imbalances?

Thanks.

Obviously the weight issues are a problem as well as any other factors that are associated with the weight problems. But my girlfriend had a D&C done a few months ago (her second one) and she is on her third month in having heavy periods. She takes Depo shots every 10 weeks, and she sees her OB/GYN then also. He claims that he can't do anything for her, because of her weight. Her weight gain of the past year is primarily do to the fact she is taking Lithium and Wellbrutren and Zoloft for her Bi-Polar and PTSD and depression. Despite her efforts of watching what she eats and exercise, she is unable to maintain or lose weight. All she continues to do is gain weight. Now she has her period all the time and her flow is heavy always. Making it even tougher for her to do any exercise at all and to lose weight. Couldn't she get a tubal done or something that wouldn't be as evasive as having a hysterectomy? Sincere answers only please. She had blood work done and she is not anemic.

I had to take aspirin with codeine for a torn muscle in my back and was only taking one pill before bed to help me sleep pain free. I am now constipated and can only poop a little bit at a time. Yesterday my fiance noticed I was cranky and I felt bloated. I should probably be drinking more water but is there anything else I should do? Or just wait it out.. it's been about 4 or 5 days since I've gone normally. Eek! :)

im a 22 year old female, and dont think ive been growing at all. as of a few months ago, i hadnt grown at all in 2 years...thats the latest measurement check ive done. also, i dont think women really grow at this age. anyways, i used to have growing pains when i was 12 or so, but havent really had them much since them. for the past few days, however, ive been experiencing them frequently. i have been laying down a LOT tho, because ive basically been studying for finals in my bed for a few days straight. is this the cause of my "growing pains"? its a very distinct feeling, that i know is the feeling of "growing pains"......why am i experiencing this??? can you give me any insight about what causes growing pains and why i would be experiencing them at my age?

I didn't have sex (intercourse) with my boyfriend for a year but we had orals a few weeks ago. No ejaculations was anywhere near my vagina but there could be very little pre-*** on my legs/thighs (very unlikely) but I don't think it's on my vagina.

My period came on time and lasted for 4 - 5 days. However, recently I realized I have been nauseous all day long! This has lasted for about a week and I'm still sick the whole day. I feel tired too. There is no other signs like tender breasts or frequent urination. Could be pregnant? I don't think so but what do you think?

p.s. i also suspect it's food poisoning but i'm still a bit scared! my bf said it's quite impossible for me to get pregnant cos he's pretty sure nothing got onto me!
