Obviously the weight issues are a problem as well as any other factors that are associated with the weight problems. But my girlfriend had a D&C done a few months ago (her second one) and she is on her third month in having heavy periods. She takes Depo shots every 10 weeks, and she sees her OB/GYN then also. He claims that he can't do anything for her, because of her weight. Her weight gain of the past year is primarily do to the fact she is taking Lithium and Wellbrutren and Zoloft for her Bi-Polar and PTSD and depression. Despite her efforts of watching what she eats and exercise, she is unable to maintain or lose weight. All she continues to do is gain weight. Now she has her period all the time and her flow is heavy always. Making it even tougher for her to do any exercise at all and to lose weight. Couldn't she get a tubal done or something that wouldn't be as evasive as having a hysterectomy? Sincere answers only please. She had blood work done and she is not anemic.

When she had her first and last D&C the doctor did not find any fibroid tumors or anything else that would indicate why she is having her periods again. Last year she had her period for 2 months then it stopped for awhile until she had her last D&C a few months ago. Now her period is lasting 3 months. She is miserable with major menstrual cramps and heavy bleeding. I told her to go see another doctor for a second opinion. But due to our location, there isn't many options for us. There is one other OB/GYN but he is worse than the one we are both seeing now. If a tubal won't stop the bleeding, what else would if he refuses to do a complete hysterectomy?

i dont know how big you are talking about, but i'm not tiny and i had a hysterectomy 4 months ago for heavy bleeding. (by the way, excessive heavy bleeding is called menorraghia, in case you like learning something new every day..lol) she could try to find a doctor who can do a novasure procedure. i fought for 10 years to get my hysterectomy done. i had to move to arizona to have a doctor who was willing to do it. its the best thing i have ever done in my life. taking vitamin k might help lighten them some. the only drawback to that is that she wouldnt be able to eat anything with vinegar in it. thats not easy to do, its in everything. i found vitamin k at a health food store, but the doc can also give vitamin k shots. any more questions? feel free to ask.

you nevertheless have a vagina. it particularly is many times the only section that the guy is in touch approximately. If that sounded advise, that grow to be particularly no longer my objective. yet I understand what you're speaking approximately, i think of. do no longer think of of it as feeling empty or being much less of a female. Heck, you have have been given it made now. you have each and all of the exciting you p.c. devoid of the concerns of having pregnant. you're so fortunate. i've got been informed that i p.c. a hysterectomy, yet i don't have coverage and would't take care of to pay for it. only have exciting, yet be smart approximately it, ok? *further: Wow, how gracious is Tom? Too undesirable his learn only incorporates females with hysterectomies. i've got only have been given my tubes tied, so i do no longer qualify.

I am a large woman and I had a full hysterectomy , I had breast cancer and just to be on the safe side I had a full hysterectomy they cut me all the way across my stomach. I will have to say that it did nothing to help the weight thing I was big to start with but since then I have gained even more.

A tubal is not going to stop bleeding. I take it she was pregnant? She should see another doctor regarding other treatment options. I don't see why they can't do it.....unless there are other medical issues you didn't mention (or may not know) here. But she definitely needs a second opinion.
