yes by some, no by others. The morning after pill is a strong birth control pill that prevents possible ovulation and fertilization, usually it is taken before conception would have occured (remeber, conception is not an instant thing, it takes a day or two for the sperm to get to the egg). If it is taken after conception has occured it can prevent the egg from implanting in the uterus, which is what some consider abortion. Its a grey area morally, since it is the least harmful way of stopping an unwanted pregnancy after the fact. It should be used (my opinion now) only in cases of rape, incest, or if a pregnancy would be dangerous to a womans health. if a person is careful and uses birth cotrol, condoms etc, the morning after pill will not be necessary.

It all depends on the person. Some believe it's abortion and some don't. I don't even know why they have the morning after pill still out 'cause with the time period that it's been on market, pregnancy rates has still been up.

Depends on if conception occured or not. The morning after pill is a high dose of birth control used to terminate a pregnancy if it accidentally occured the night before. It is really impossible to know if one is pregnant within 24 hours of conception though so no one taking the morning after pill even knows if they ARE pregnant...it is just a precaution.

Not unless you consider the pill and other birth contol methods abortion. If the egg has implanted, it will not terminate the pregnancy. It is just a strong form of the pill.

No. When an egg is fertilized it must stick to the uiterine wall in order to become a baby. 90% of the time it naturally doesn't. The morning after pill just makes sure the egg becomes one of those 90% of the time.

Yes, it is considered an abortion.
If an egg has been fertilized, and you take the pill, this pill will work to prevent the egg from implanting in your uterine wall. If this happens, abortion will occur, because the egg has already been fertilized.
The fertilization of an egg can occur as early as 15 minutes after sex.
Remember that a fertilized egg contains all 46 human chromosomes. Chromosomes that contain the genetic design that will determine hair, sex, eye color, skin tone and height of the child.

To some kookie religious ding-dong, probably. But no, thats why its not called an abortion. It prevents fertilization. Its no more abortion than using a condom.

Yes.
It stops a fertilized egg from implanting. That's the same way an IUD works.
