If I need a doctor to interpret a hormone test and also run other hormone tests to see if I have an imbalance, what kind of doctor would I go to?

My period has also spaced out a ton more (maybe due to hormones?) and a big concern is that I might not being losing weight because of a hormone imbalance as well.

Who is better? A gynocologist? A nutrtionist? Or is there a specific doctor who specializes in hormone imbalances?

Thanks.

An endocrinologist usually handles hormone and chemical issues, but you should have your gynecologist reccommend one to you.

This is a gynocological question. If you are losing weight quickly and your BMI is too low, this could have an effect on your periods. Girls with anorexia, gymnasts, runners, body builders and the like often have this same problem. Your estrogen level is the most likely cause of this problem but you should find out the cause of the low estrogen. This can also be sign of much more serious things going on in your body. You should speak to your gynocologist or PCP to locate the cause and rule out anything more serious than hormones.

Who did the hormone test? they should be able to interpret. A gyno would be your next bet...though, usually there is a reason such as pcos, hypothyroidism, etc that would cause your periods to not regulate and your lack of weight loss.
Either your GP or Gyno would recommend an endocrinologist if they can not regulate your hormones once determining the cause.

I would start with a gynocologist first. They will be able to send you to the right place to get the proper tests you need to figure out what's going on.
