Women's Health - September 2006

My new doctor has prescribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen for me and I am curious if there is anyone who has NOT had any problems with weight gain on this pill. I have used Yasmine in the past and loved it but the new clinic I am going to does not carry this pill. I have also read that this pill has multiple stages of hormones which makes me think that it would really mess with a persons moods. If I feel like they are messing with me how long should I give it before trying a new pill out?

i started takin the pill on the 1st of september (friday) but the forgot to tak it on the 3rd (sunday) me and my bf had sex on friday the 8th but then i missed another pill on the 9th and 10th (i am not a slag just dont seen him very often!!!) but could i be pregnant because of this or will i be alrite ....seriouse answers only please!!!:-( :-( :-(

i am 43 yrs old and in april had the rest of my female organs taken out. i keep hurting real bad in my right side. after the surgery i had a mass of infection on the inside of my intestine. i was given antibotics to get rid of it

I have searched the web and nothing really explains to me what either of these diagnosis mean. I have been 'feeling' this fibroid alot recently and appears to be growing bigger causing a feeling of a large mass on my right hand side. Can anyone explain if this is normal and what intramural and anteverted uterus mean. Also if anyone knows of any natural ways the fibroid could be shrunk, I would be grateful to hear of them. Thanks in advance.

i have an unusual skin infection that resulted in a lump that was removed, but needed to be on vancomycin iv for the passed 2 wks.--the sed rate and the c protien were high..i don't know what that means

Ok well I think I am pretty sometimes and I always catch myself compairing myself to other girls and thinking what I can change too be more like them. my peroids scare me sometimes. mom says it's normal but i still get nervous. i don't bleed real heavy. but is it normal to pass clots if you stop bleeding for a while? i just bleed one day and spot the rest but sometimes i get clots and they gross me out

ok, my girlfriend tells me it is ok to run packets of the pill together. She tells me she does it becasue her periods are so painful. Normally it is just two months but she has done it for three moths before. I dont think this is normal practice and I am keen to hear the views of you girls out there.

what problems can this casue if any and is it possible shoe could ge pregnant as she is not necessarily comming off it each month

Is it weird that I like to look @ pictures of naked girls or that I am turned on by girls? If I had to go to a strip club Id go see girls before guys. I dont ever picture myself actually doing anything with another girl other than maybe kissing her or playing with her breasts, which I think part of that has to do with the fact that I myself have small breasts. I would never be in a relationship with one either, so what does all this mean? Is it weird? By the way, I am 25 & very much love sex with a man, although I am not currently in a relationship! :o)

has anyone gone to the doctor and he told you that he could not do the surgery? i go next month to see a doc and i have my uterus tilted, but i hear that they can fix that and it's been 11 years since my tubal. i also have scar tissue.

Ok heres my situation,ive got several issues going on at once(a real mess really) iam new in town so dont have a general doc yet.I have this rectal problem going on so i thought (gastroentologist) but im also really sick,sweaty and feverish lately with allot of muscle pain so thought of going to a (Rhuemotologist) But then I also have some female problems going on and thought perhaps seeing an (Gynecologist) my allergies are flairing up so thought of going to an (Allergist)HOW CAN I POSSIBLY AFFORD SO MANY MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS????? which doc can take care of my issues most effectively?

I have been taking Loestrin 20 since the beginning of the year (although I did take it for a year or so the year before). I went on holiday in mid august and was due to finish the course while I was away. As I didn't want my period while on hols I started the next packet without a break. I am now nearly at the end of the second week of this course and it looks as though I have just started a period! Why is this? Last week I was late taking a pill by about 12 hours but I have missed pills before and not come on.

Is there something wrong?

I lost my virginity a few years ago and was active 3 times with the guy within that same week. I had a 1 time encounter with someone this past April and in the beginning of August, I started a continuous sexual relationship with my BF. (I'm 20 for the record)We have been together a total of 4 times now. Yesterday, I stared having a weird soreness and slight swelling down there and it continues today- but we haven't had sex since Thursday night. I have never felt this before and I'm wondering if my body is reacting to the "constant" sex that it has never experienced. Just for the record, I am on my period right now and it is my first one since starting on The Pill. What should I do? Have you experienced anything like this?

I have had my period for well over 10 years and it has always lasted on average 5-6 days, however my last 2 cycles has only lasted at most 3 days... has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know why... ? Also I am exausted all the time, I mean physically tired and I shouldnt be, I get enough sleep and try to eat right.
