your Mom is right sweetie, I know your period can be gross and scary, but it's just your body doing what it has to do. Don't sweat it and if you feel really yucky taking a hot bath with some nice smelling bubbles or oils that might make you feel cleaner and fresher.

Yes that is normal. I started at 8 1/ 2 and I had them then. I think it's sitting or getting out of bed and that blood just sits in there and makes a clot. Then when you move the clot comes out and the blood behind it.
That's is normal.....
So much as being scared I have nothing to tell you on that part. I am 34 and I still get freaked and grossed out when I pass one and I've giving birth....lol
I get hot all over and feel like I'm going to puke or pass out. I did last night and thought I passed a liver or something. You are normal just get thur it and try not to think about it. ugh ugh ugh. I know what your saying but keep in mind your female and all other females are going thur the same things.

Think its time to visit the OBGYN. Depending on the cycle of your body this maybe normal or it maybe and underlying problem. There is no way for us to know just by reading. The ob could better diagnose what is going on with your body.
My thoughts would be that the lining in your uterus just causes your monthlies to be very light and while you don't see your monthly lasting more than a day your body is still going threw the cycle and that is why you are passing the clots. But again you need to go to an OB and tell them what you have told us.
Good Luck and Hopefully its just your body's cycle.

Had the clots also many moons ago. Ended with a hysterectomy when I was 36 yrs.old.Suffered a lot of years. Good luck and thank goodness medicine has made great strides in the last few years.Probably Drs. can do something for you without the radical procedure I had to have.

Clots are normal...but over excessive clotting meaning all the time i.e throughout the period could be dangerous...you should have a talk with a gynecologist, ask your mom to take you...its better for you to know than be scared of it.

You should not pass a lot of clots, especially at such a young age. Since you are menstruating, your Mom should have already scheduled your first appointment with an OBGYN. Make sure you discuss your clotting with the doctor or nurse practioner when you have your exam.

It is very normal to have clotting with your period. If you have excessive bleeding or pain associated with it,or longer than normal bleeding, contact your physician for a pelvic exam...or with your GYN to discuss this further.

That is a good question. You should really ask your GYN doc, but clotting can be normal if you don't have very heavy periods.
It does make you nervous, but it might make you feel better to talk to your doc.
