I lost my baby at 18 wks gestation due to semilobar holoprosencephaly. I want to get pregnant again but I am so afraid of the same thing happening.

so sorry to hear about your loss, but it's mother nature's way of dealing with such a severe defect. my best friend lost a baby at birth due to anencephaly, we'd only discovered the condition a week before the due date. It was so hard, but she grieved and moved on and her next pregnancy resulted in a perfect little boy. Good luck, and know that our thoughts are with you.

your fear is so natural for what you went through. everyone in your situation goes through it. Most of the families I worked with have had other children that were fine after having a child with handicaps.
