Women's Health - July 2006

I don't seem to have an 'off switch'. I wish I was more like my partner. He feels tired at ten o'clock and soon after goes to bed. I can stay awake until one in the morning and still have to make myself go to bed and sleep. (I work 12 hour shifts 8am til 9pm. Quite stressy job but I do enjoy it.)

I have some bruises on my leg, arms, tummy, back and they are swollen and hurt really bad...I used ice last night and took a hot bath but they are still puffy is there some kind of medication to make them go down???

When I have my PMS it scares me because all I think of is negative thoughts, I hate my life, I feel very sad, cry for no reason and push people that I love away from me. I know it's wrong but I can't help it and I just want to dissapear far far away. Please help me, what should I do????

My sis has serious cramping and bloating at her time of the month.
She swears nothing works for her, and is driving me crazy!!
Has anyone tried this midol menstrual pill? If yes, does it really help with the cramping and bloating?

I am currently looking into a new form of birth control. I smoke (plan on quitting by the end of summer) so I don't want to take the pill. I looked into IUD, way to expensive and my insurance will not cover it. Any other suggestions?

I am really really thirsty and no matter what I try to drink, rather it be soda, or water, or gatorade, or flavored water... nothing seems to appease my thirst... Soda seems to sweet and too carbonated, diet soda is too bitter, water is to bland... I am constantly getting dehydrated because of it... is there anything that anyone can recommend to help with this thirst problem?

I am prettty sure that I have polycystic ovaries and I know that I had a cyst on one of my ovaries at one time, but it is gone for sure now (doc had said that it must have burst.) Anyway, along with this, I have never had a regular period. Now I have been spotting (not very much but it's been going on for over a week.) I am 30 years old and never been pregnant.
