I don't seem to have an 'off switch'. I wish I was more like my partner. He feels tired at ten o'clock and soon after goes to bed. I can stay awake until one in the morning and still have to make myself go to bed and sleep. (I work 12 hour shifts 8am til 9pm. Quite stressy job but I do enjoy it.)

Its hard to get after 9pm and then go to bed, your body is still at full throttle while your partner wants to go to bed, try a herbal sleeping pill like NYTOL (If you are in the UK), or a warm drink, also and i found this works for me, don't go to bed and watch the TV, listen to the radio and even go as far as not having a clock in the bed room if you really cat sleep, Happy sleeping.......

I have exactly the same problem. I hope someone has a decent answer.

The only thing I do try is as well as setting my alarm to wake up, I then set it for when to go to bed. When I go to bed I usually lie awake for hours, so I guess that that is the part I need help with.

I am very busy during the day so it isn't like I shouldn't be tired, I should.

In the mornings I often sleep past my alarm due to not having got to sleep until 5-6am which as you can imagine, just makes it ten times worse!!

There is only one sleep system that is endorsed by the World Federation of Chiropractors, and we have seen a big difference in our home using this. I have an eight year old daughter, that used to sleep walk, talk in her sleep, and be extremely grouchy in the mornings, but with this system (it is an entire system, matters, comforter, and pillow) our lives have greatly improved. She now can fall asleep quickly and stay asleep until morning and has the greatest attitude now. They have proven that only this system gives you the deep restorative sleep your body needs.

Why not try going to bed earlier and reading. This may help to relax you. Not having too much caffeine during the day are you ?

TRY A SLEEPING PILL JUST FOR A LITTLE WHILE TO GET YOUR BODY ON A NEW SCHEDULE, TAKE IT ABOUT 45 MIN. BEFORE YOU WANT TO GO TO SLEEP.

WHENEVER I START TO GET RESTLESS AT NIGHT I'LL DO THIS FOR A COUPLE OF NIGHTS AND IT SEEMS TO GET ME BACK ON SCHEDULE.
GOOD LUCK!
