Damn, you are making me horny too. Yeah it's normal for all animals. When you are ovulating, you are aroused easily. In short, you are in HEAT!!!

Sure; when you ovulate, the follicle where the ovum developed folds inwards on itself and becomes the corpus luteum, a hormone-generating structure that secretes estrogen and progesterone. This is in preparation for implanatation of a fertilized egg on the uterine wall, if there fertilization occurs, but an evolutionarily advantageous side effect is that all those hormones make you WANT to fertilize an egg at that time. You're perfectly correct: it does make sense -- nature encourages us to mate at a time when we are most fertile (women during ovulation, men... between the ages of 14 and about 75... or beyond...)

Changes induced by human sexual arousal serve reproductive and recreational functions. The current sexual phase model (desire, excitation, orgasm, and resolution) conveys little about this duarchy. Lack of spontaneous sexual desire in a third of nonclinic females indicates that the D phase needs splitting into D1 (the spontaneous [endogenous] activation of desire) and D2 (desire activated by sexual excitation at and during the E phase). Attempts to link D1 with reproduction by studies monitoring it over the menstrual cycle revealed a D1 peak just before or at ovulation, but its reliability is criticized because of the poor identification of the time of ovulation (1)

Most women don't know exactly when they're ovulating, even though many women report greater physiological arousal and stronger sexual desire during ovulation. (2)

I hope these articles help!

Yes, I have to agree! It happens to me and it makes sense from a nature/pregnancy point of view.
Maybe your friends aren't as connected to their emotions and the needs of their own body - it seems common in today's society. Look at the rising obesity levels - despite the bodies perfectly adequate ability to let us know that we are feeling full! People just don't listen to their bodies any more.

That's the way it's supposed to be! It's nature's little way of getting you knocked up and increasing the population! It's an instinctual thing that happens to keep the population growing. Haven't you seen the birds and squirrels chasing each other in the spring time.... same thing. :)

This is just common sense. When you ovulate, you feel the urge to procreate. It's similar to animals that go into heat when they are fertile.

Most of my friends and I feel the same way. It's normal, your probably more sensitive to your biological clock! It's great! More in-tuned with yourself then the others.

It's a natrual occurance. You're body is feeling the need to reproduce. Therfore making you want to have sex. Its almost like animal instinct.
