Actually I think it means (the way I've heard people use it) -- like if someone is especially picky about something silly -- that they are "anal" ........so I don't know - it sounds offensive but I think it is more of a funny way to just pick on someone.

that is purely offensive if their each and every year earnings is below the Kelley Blue e book commerce-in value of a 'ninety 4 Ford velocity. meaning gas station attendants would get an extra penny or 2 of their replace cup from this filthymuffin.

yes it means you spend more time inspecting your anus then actually getting to the issue.
So yes when someone says your anal its another way of saying,
your a bitchh, your an a$$hole, your annoying, get over yourself, F^&k Off.
so yes, people that dont find it offensive have there heads stuck way to far up there
