Ok, so here's my brief synopsis of my life. I'm 26 years old. I work full time, and go to school full time. My grandfather, who was living with us, is now in a home & is dying quickly. Lately, I'm finding that I sleep an awful lot, and am continually tired and don't want to do anything. I already take antidepressants, so I don't think it's the depression. But, I literally feel like I don't have a grasp on life...I don't want to do anything. What do I do? Am I losing it mentally? People have told me to just snap out of it, but I don't know if it's as easy as that. Im usually a very disciplined & very driven person.....

Caring for the elderly who need assistance differ from culture to culture. in the US, nursing homes often provide assistance to the elderly, relieving the family of daily responsibilities. in other cultures, the elderly stays with the family, maintaining intergenerational contact. which alternative do you think is better? Explain why.

How many people feel that school is the reason why people feel depressed...Stressed with tests...peer pressure...Fear of not graduating on time...& SATs?

Really, do they HAVE to make it difficult for a student to graduate, I understand of paying attention and doing your work, but it's going too far that when you get a pink eye and not allowed to go to school or having a fever you fail for all the days you miss. Also, in some states they have this state exam, and if you didn't pass 5 you can't graduate...it's so hard! Can't they just have the passing classes and SATs, instead of the stupid regents or state exams...This gets me mad...I have ADD...I cannot keep focus and teachers and my parents get upset at me because I cannot focus which also makes me think alot of my future and kind of has me feel 'emo'

I had Lasik refractive surgery one week ago to correct my far-sightedness. I now find I need to sit closer than normal to the computer screen with the over-the-counter reading specs I purchased. Does that suggest I need a stronger or weaker pair? Until my vision settles in (a few more months), it is suggested I don't invest in a proper Rx pair of glasses.

Or should I simply push the monitor (computer screen) further back?

I'd ask my ophthalmologist, but I'd like an answer sooner than later. Thanks...

I have a stressful daycare job, it's both physical and mental stress. Physically I'm picking up heavy children while they are kicking and screaming. Mentally I'm dealing with children screaming, unhappy parents, co-workers, and boss. I have no time to exercise, although I have tried tai chi.

I'm planning to go on a two-week water fast (the purpose of my fast is mainly spiritual and has nothing to do with aesthetic reasons). I'll make sure I'm closely followed during the process by a doctor and stuff, but before I make up my mind about this, I was wondering if anyone knew how much weight I'm expected to lose. I don't want to end up looking like a scarecrow or somethin'! Thanx!
