I get them mostly at night, and I heard soap under the sheets helps but does it really? Has any one tried an it really did help? Any other methods or advice? Ecspecially during the day?

if it had started already, best way to relieve it is grab your toes and point them towards you. Best is to sit on the floor, grab your toes so that you can put your feet at a 90 degree level, then press your toes towards the floor. What this does is stretches the muscles releaving the charlie horse. But do be careful. If the tension is too tight, ease into it. don't just pull and stretched. you could be doing damage instead of releaving it.

If you can, in the mornings, get some leg stretches in..and same before bedtime especially if you wear high heel shoes all day.

good luck

Well i've never heard of soap under the sheets, but i find that hard to believe that it relieves charlie horse. The Best thing to do when you get a sever leg cramp is to strech out your leg, and the pain should go away. But to stop getting them you should take more vitamins, because when you get charlie horses it means your not eating right. Try eating healthier or taking vitamins.

With your thumb and forefinger, squeeze the skin between your nostrils. This sounds crazy, but it will stop a leg cramp. Also, try to eat plenty of bananas. The potassium in the bananas can prevent leg cramps.

Drink a lot more water and take Magnesium pills. Your body uses calcium to contract muscles and magnesium to relax them.

One way to prevent them is to drink lots of water. My doctor told me the reason they happen is because the body isn't getting enough hydration.
