obviously your doctor should've given you some type of painkiller. If so, take one. If not, ibuprofen will work good, and keep your wrist elevated above your heart. This will slow down circulation and kind of numb it a little bit.

It will be painful for a bit. If Doctor did not order pain meds for you, you can call and ask for them, or you can try ibuprofen. If the pain is from swelling, you might apply an ice bag...of course, it'll have be there for a long time too get through the cast. Does it feel tight? Give the Doctor a call! Your wrist is pretty important!

I would call your doctor and ask for a better pain killer. Ibuprofen will work well (as suggested), but a prescription pain reliever will do better.
They may suggest taking a larger dose of something OTC.
You might try icing the area as well, if that's allowed. Perhaps icing your fingers...

CODEIN!!!
I love it.
heh... that's pretty horrible. I've never had aperscription.
Vicodein will help you not feel it, also.
Codein gives a weird effect (if you take too much) and makes you want to hump someone.
Vicodein slows your breathing (seriously).
But... you won't notice pain at all.
You won't even be able to hold up your hand.

Contact your doctor. He/she should be able to prescribe you pain pills. If you want to go natural, chamolile? tea will work, so does marijuana. I'm not advocating you use pot, but it does help with pain. Good luck!!
