I broke my fibula towards the ankle area about 5 weeks ago and am due to see the doc tomorrow possibly to have my cast removed. Should I expect to start walking immediately? I don't feel pain anymore and I can stand on the leg quite alright.

I would really apreciate some advice, where we currently live, my children have not come into contact with any children or adults who have any forms of disability.
However, we are moving soon and have been told one of our neighbours has an autistic child.
How do i explain this to my own children who are 8 and 11 yrs old. I want them to show the parents of this child that we are not ignorant as i perhaps assume some people are.

I have a 4 year old who talks pretty slushy. He is in a preschool with an IEP teacher and Speech therapy. He was 10 1/2 weeks premature. Well my son had a special education teacher and now has been moved to a regular class (switching of schools) he also will receive less speech therapy at his new school and I try at home but am looking for more ideas.

I have had it for nearly a month now and have dug out the hook, have put ointment on it, have soaked it in water and still I have the most intense pain everytime it gets bumped or I walk on it. It is on my big toe on my left foot. If anyone has any suggestions, other than "go to the doctor" I'd be happy to hear from you!

it started with a sore throat then a mouth sore and now the skin on my hands is very painful and my hands have some red sploches and painful red bumps on them.

i know it would be better to go to a doctor instead of yahoo answers but i dont have insurance and i cant afford to go just to hear that it is just a virus that has to run its course.

i got it from my 3 year old son but i dont know where he picked it up. his has passed but is this kind of illness common?

When I was on active duty I knew a couple of people who didn't smoke pot that came up hot on a urinalysis and got booted out. They hung around with people that did, but according to our fine military institutions there is no such thing as second hand pot smoke.

My 5 year old is sweating at night and getting cold as a result.

First, immediately after he falls asleep, he releases sweat, no matter what. He gets wet all around his neck and usually on the back.
We tried changing pills, blankets, shorter hair and anything else we could think of - he always gets sweaty.

here's the actual problem, though: that continues throughout the night; when AC is off he gets sweaty; when AC turns on, he gets dry and cold very quickly.

If no AC is turned on he gets all wet (as we do) and he doesn't breathe well.

He's otherwise pretty normal, just sort of hot-blooded and that somehow shows a lot at night.

anyone with similar experience and hoepfuly solution?

So far the only thing that we have found to help is to stay awake and change clothes every half an hour or so...a rather exhausting experience I must say.
