I'm not terribly overweight (160lbs 5'8"), but my shins hold an imprint when I push on them. And I mean hold for about ten to 45 minutes. Do everyone's legs do that? Why are mine?

I believe that I caught a really bad flu from my classmates - they've all been sick lately. Anyway, I started off with only a little bit of coughing and runny nose, now my lymph gland is frigging swollen and I've loss my voice when I woke up this morning. I'm not on health insurance at this moment so I'd love to try out some useful home remedies before spending my $$$ on the doctor. Can somebody give me some help?

Thanks :)

I had a toenail removed on each foot, and they injected a local anesthetic into my toes. More than 24 hours later my toes are extremely numb. I called the doctor this morning and they said it could last a little bit, but I am wondering how long this will last. It is uncomfortable!

Hi, I'm just coming down with a cold. I'm going to a party tomorrow. How can prevent it from becoming a full-blown cold, at least I don't want to have to blow my nose every minute. Please, help. Thanks

Yes, weird question.

I administered myself a home urine drug test back in June. All was okay, except I left an extra enclosed urine container in a cabinet in my room by accident. All the urine is in the container. I don't want to open the container at all.

Should I just dispose of the container?

Yes, whenever I try and hold up four fingers, my thumb hurts. Can I have carpel tunnel? I read somewhere that aching in the wrist and thumb is a sign.

If I do have it, are there any excersices to relieve it?
I don't want surgery.

Hi, I was wondering if people who are put on life support ever "recover" from that condition. My grandmother was taken to the hospital because of breathlessness that was a combination of old age and a respiratory infection. Apparently, she was stabilized thereafter. However, I've now heard that she is on life support. Is this a way to help her "recover" from the respiratory infection or just a way to prolong the inevitable?

Thanks.

I am not medically trained!...besides, all these commericals sure do list a whole bunch of SIDE EFFECTS......example ~ this pill will help you sleep...HOWEVER, the side effects could be heart attack, stroke and liver failure!!! what's up with these commercials?
