If all things were equal in the world (i know they are not) is there enough food produced in the world each year through import/export etc so nobody would go hungry and every body could have a meal or two each and every day?

Or cant the world produce enough food to simply feed every body reguarly

Theoretically it should be possible, but - sorry, if this sounds harsh - in 3rd world countries nature is already under pressure of what the people are doing to it.

If there would be even more people living there due to a reduced death rate, those countries would get completely destroyed: Deforestation in Asia and South America and the growth of the African deserts would lead to further, increased pressure on the wildlife there and this would consequently make the living conditions even more miserable...

Of course we can.

as someone has already mentioned there are vast mountains of food within the EEC and the USA grain production is vast.

This is not a question of quantity more a question of distribution, politics, will and even corruption.

It's a woefully sad indictment of mankind that we can't simply get it together and feed the world.
