Hi, I'm just coming down with a cold. I'm going to a party tomorrow. How can prevent it from becoming a full-blown cold, at least I don't want to have to blow my nose every minute. Please, help. Thanks

Unfortunately, if you go to the party even if you're not blowing your nose you'll be spreading germs and infecting your friends. Get plenty of rest and drink lots of liquids and you should be ok to party the following weekend.

This is what has worked for me. At the first sign of a cold I take Nyquil at night and Dayquil during the day . It keeps me from getting a full blown cold and I feel great in a few Days. Give it a try.

If it's already here, it's going to run its course. But there are things you can do to make things less miserable.

Drink hot drinks. Especially hot lemon and honey, beef bouillon, or teas.

Drink lots of water.

Use steam: That will help with the congestion and it seems to help some with the runny nose.

Take extra vitamin C and garlic tablets. Also, use zinc lozenges to control the cough.

And for the party, consider using an OTC medicine to control the symptoms so you can enjoy yourself.

Good luck!

airbourne is good to keep from getting a cold, but you already have it so...

Zicam is the best!
I use the cold swabs because the sprays can taste bad. They are so good.

Def worth the money

Using Zinc Lozenges may help slow it down or make the symptoms milder.
