Skin Conditions - March 2007

It's getting to the point where it's getting embarrassing to even get a haircut. It hurts to sleep when I lay my head on the pillows. Anybody know how to get rid of them? Thanks for any help...I'm probably gonna go to a dermatologis if it doesn't clear up in the next two weeks... :-(

ok you know how eating greasy and junk food will make your skin break out? well its happened to a lot of my friends bt i eat nothing but junk food and foods that people should stay away from if tehy want clear skin and somehow my face never breaks out. i get a couple of small blackheads on my nose but my nose is the only place where i get blackheads or so, once in a whiile i get one bump on my forehead but it goes away before its noticable.

Yo dont really have to answer this. im just curious about this =/

hello, im pretty sure the pimple i had on my forhead was a very light form of cystic acne. i dried it out and tried to bring it to the surface. a very little did and i took the proper steps to get rid of the head of the pimple. now the area is very dry and the skin on the pimple looks rough and almost dead like. any suggestions on how to get rid of this? and the redness?

First I notice a pain then slight welling and the area where the capillary broke is warm and then the bruise appears and the area is tender.

there is a bump under my left nostril and it looks like a white head and its been there for quite a while and i cant pop it, ieven put some stuff on it and it wont go away. if i try to pop it then it starts hurting. any clue what it might be? or how to get rid of it since products didnt work and neither did popping it and it wont go away itself =/

i have a heat rash i have had for a long time on my forhead and cheeks. I also have VERY dry skin. AND my parents wouldnt let me go to any kind of doctor ( that includes a dermotoligst)

I use to have back acne on my lower mid back which I have under control now. But the problem is that it left scars and it does seem like over time their fading but not fast enough.

I used skin lightening stuff and that helped A LOT but the bigger scars are there.

Does anyone have an suggestions that are not EXPENSIVE!

I am making an appointment with a Derm. to see why I keep getting acne in my early 20s and hopefully he/she can help with something.

I'm so self conscious of this so any ideas would be helpful.

Also is this something a Derm. can help with or is it pointless to go?

and it is sore to touch. It feels like it is under a layer of skin, although it may not be, and is grayish/purplish in color. The coloring kind of looks like a bruise. There is a large reddish ellipse circling it; the bump is left of center. Also, it is firm to touch. It's been there for about three weeks. Please help =]

yeah well i applied this fake tan lotion on me. I put too much at once and my face/body is covered in small tiny bumps that look like irratated goose bumps. Will this go away within a day? Should i buy some medicine? How long is this gonna take to go away? I have a date on sunday. Someone please help me!

I am a 13 year old girl with moderate to severe acne. My derm prescribed accutane (3 pills a day 40mg) to me and today is my first dose. I've heard several things about the drug such as severe depression, thoughts of suicide, excessive dryness and peeling...and i'm wondering if it's all gonna be worth it?? Also i've heard a lot about people having blood drawn monthly, but my derm said nothing about this to me. So if anyone could tell me about their experiences with the drug i would be very greatful

I have been using ProActiv for 2 months, and I was really pleased with the results in the first month, however now I am breaking out and i have no clue why. Well i started having pimples a couple of years ago and since then my situation has continued to worsen. I've tried proactiv, acne free, and other over the counter acne treatments. I've even went to a dermatologist and got a prescription treatment but that doesnt seem to work either. I also tried toothpaste for a couple of days but it didnt seem to make any differnces at all. My pimples just never seem to go away and I cant stop new ones from forming. Can anyone help?

Last summer, I had a terrible case of poison ivy. I went to a prompt care center for treatment whereupon the doctor gave me a corticosteroid shot in the buttocks. Now, I have a depression in the skin about the size of a quarter in diameter and approximately 1/2" deep. My internet research tells me it is "subcutaneous atrophy." It is making me feel very self-conscious when I am with my husband. Is there anything I can do about it? I read something about saline injections clearing it up, but I'm not sure if that applies to this situation. Is it something that will go away with time? Any advice from doctors or others with this experience is appreciated.

actually, i've make a mistake. There's an excess of skin under my foot. But then, i used a razor to cut the excess skin and it bleeds. Then now there's some black spots on my foot after it stops bleeding. And now, it hurts when i walk.
