My aunt right leg is swollen and was told that a cancer mass is blocking her veins causing the swelling. Radiation is a option.
So is surgery.

She is on a TPN IV that I give her at home. It initially was to give her nutrients to get her strong enough for chemo. She is now very sick and can't do chemo so doctor said she didn't have to have TPN any longer, but I feel this is keeping her alive because she hasn't eaten for many weeks.

My main symptoms are a new bowl movement cycle. I used to be fairly "regular". Now I am constipated a lot. When I do go, it's usually diareha or very soft. I am gasy, too. However, I don't really have abdominal pain. These symptoms have been going on for a few months. My abdomen and stomach area haven't grown (I'm about a 28-inch "true" waist), however, as soon as I eat anything it looks like I'm about 2 months pregnant. Also, my past two period cycles have been strange; very, very light and lasted for about a day. I didn't even need a tampon or panty liner. My grandmother died from breast cancer. I get regular PAPs and pelvic examps and my PAP last came back with the HPV virus; however, i just went last month and the HPV is gone. I feel more tired than usual, but I havent' lost or gained any weight and my appetite is the same. Sorry for the detailed explaination, but I wanted to provice as much information as possible in hopes of the best answer as possible:)

I'm worried that I have something wrong with my colon and I mean I know I do I have bile salts diahreea no family history of colon cancer and a family history of Poplps but not untill later in life in the 50 and 60s. I keep thinking that I see red in my stool and it freaks me out. I mean only if I dont take my questran otherwise the stool is formed and everything. I have seen two medical doctors that say its just bile salt diahreea and a surgeron who says proforming a colonscopy is more dangous then not with not having any other smphotms. I just want to know what someone else thinks am I freaking out to much. I so feel that a 23 yeas old shouldnt have to worry about something like this and oh yeah I did have my gallbladder out thats how I got the bile salt diahreea. Someone please help me ease my mind

he is suffering from fluid retention due to his chemo, which has been going on for a year now, and is in danger of developing thrombosis if he doesn't walk, but he is losing his will to fight.
He has a male nurse to help him up, but he just won't cooperate anymore. All of his functions are perfect, how can we motivate him to try and fight again?

I've just found out that my dad found a lump and has been having all sorts of tests for prostate (prostrate?) cancer over the past month. The first set of results came back inconclusive but on Wednesday he was told he was all clear. I found out a few hours ago, it was kept from me because I suffer from extreme anxiety and I have just started a new University course so my parents didn't want me to worry. Why do I feel so worried, as if he actually does have cancer?

After surgery, is it normal to have high doses of Radiation for the head and Neck, if Cancer is on the tongue? Also, is 5 days a week, for 20 minutes each session of radiation for 7 weeks total a lot ? How many ppl get long term side effects, such as loss of Saliva glands or infections?

I personally think the majority is because of all of the nuclear weapons we have tested, I mean, the radiation has to go somewhere and affect something, it can't be coincidence that cancer has risen so much since these weapons were tested, can it? your thoughts please.

I read survival rates and they say things like " 1 year survival rate 93 % , 10 year survival rate 64% ( those are for hodgkins lymphoma). Does that mean that after one year 93% of ppl are still alive, and after 15 years only 64% of ppl are still alive ? Or does it mean that if it hasnt been cured after 15years, theres only a 64% chance of cure ?

My friend just found a lump in her breast. She has no insurence. Is there a place where the uninsured can get a free or less expensive mamogram. And does anyone know how much a mamogram cost? thanks so much.

I'm not an easily rattled person but lately I've been having headaches and blurry vision, plus a few nosebleeds and I'm terrified that it could be a brain tumour.
I've booked in for a doctor later this week but am really panicky and can't help thinking the worst- that I'm going to die.
I'm not even sure if this is connected, but I've sort of 'forgotten' how to walk up stairs and have to look at them when I'm walking up them- could this be classed as memory loss.
Please advise me. Should I be so worried?

These records would be very helpful to me because I will be getting genetic testing done in the future, and it helps to have detailed family medical history. She died very quickly of a fast moving cancer, and recently my dad- her son- also died of a fast moving cancer. I am concerned for my own health because this happened in both generations, and I take after that side. I am getting my dad's medical records now. The problems are that I was not the executor of my grandmother, my uncle was, and he is also passed on. In short, I am the only living decendant of my grandmother. Plus, she died in 1984 and she was in New York and I live in another state. I do have her death certificate (which doesn't include a space for a cause of death, oddly enough, though she was diagnosed), I know which hospital she was in (NYU) and when and for how long. I know she was diagnosed with a specific cancer, but I don't know the name. I don't mind paying a fee for the records, I just need them.
