I know this sounds like a dumb *** question, but it is a serious question.
How do you know, do you have to have specific tests or are there any noticiable syptoms? Or do you 'just know', it's all confusing.
It's been playing on my mind, serious answers only please.

After a missed diagnosis of over a year, my 22 yr old son now has advanced metastatic cancer. We are trying to watch every detail. Even with advanced diagnosis we are told to be hopeful. Chemo will be delayed and I am trying to understand the consequences to my son and his outcome, both for the cancer diagnosis and possible body systems such as bone marrow. I am a nurse, but very frustrated with the hospital systems.

Has anyone had this? I have a picture of the ultrasound - it shows a cyst that has something growing inside and it casts a dark shadow. I can't even feel this, so if I didn't go for my first mammo, I wouldn't have known. What can I expect from the surgery? Does anyone think it might be cancerous?

Just wondering- breast cancer is effecting more and more women every day... could the electric cord hanging from outlet to the dryer (as we dry our hair each day) be causing the increase?
Can the constant exposure to these electric waves across this part of our bodies be the issue- has this been looked into? And if this has not been studied in detail- why not?
Thank you-
My mom is a survivor.

Is there really solid proof that second hand smoke causes cancer or is it still up for debate?

I didnt even read it, but so many other valid cancer questions have been asked not being featured. Cheers to Yahoo for not giving the normal person any exposure with questions on this disease. Its only important if its someone with a famous name.

From my research only Ulysses S Grant has died from cancer. Statistically out of 43 presidents we should have had at least 13 presidents die from cancer.

I was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer of the liver in December of 2004 and I just recently had a needle biospy of my left breast done in August of this year and I have to meet with my cancer doctor on Sept. 6th for options on what else has to be done. I have been handling everything with a grain of salt since I have a younger sister that has had many different kinds of cancer since March of 1984 and we are each other's support system. I worry more about my husband because he lost his first wife to cervical cancer back in 1986 and this has been very trying for him. Any suggestions that can help us in coping with everything that has been going on lately would be greatly appreciated

Someday, who knows, we might conquer death, disease and war.

i believe that someday us humans will conquer all, only if we dont destroy ourselfs first.
