you can never just know if you have cancer - you can only really know something once you have had experience of it therefore if you have never had cancer before (even if you know someone else who has) you cannot know if you have it,just upon an assumption basis.
there are physical signs, lumps, pain, unexplained bleeding etc but as these and other physical signs can also be as a result of something other than cancer, they cannot determine for you that you have cancer.
get a medical check up to find out. even if they say you do not and you are still worried, get a 2nd opinion.
try not to worry too much about this because you may not have cancer but you will probably get anxious and depressed over it.

Cancer refers to a specific type of cell. It is diagnosed by highly trained and knowledgeable medical professionals. You might be able to list symptons and come up with a possible cancer diagnosis but only the full remit of tests will tell you for sure. Some people do have an instinct that theres something wrong but please, if you're worried see a doctor and get checked out.

Awesome question! No seriously I have always wonder if I had cancer would I just have this huge headache or something.
All the people I know who have had cancer had some sort of problem that wouldn' t go away.
My Aunt who died a few years back was constantley sick. One of my friends who also past away. Had tumors well he had constant headaches.
Obviously with breast cancer you feel lumps. Skin cancer you see growths. But I do think that was a good question. It is always a worry to me also. I guess if we are supposed to get cancer we will have signs pointing us to go to the doctors. Good luck I hope you are not worrying because you have any signs.

It's not a dumb question. If you have any worries at all, go to your doctor and tell him your symptoms. He will send you to be checked out by a consultant.
When I thought I had a frozen shoulder, I left it for months. It wasn't until I had terrible pain all over and could hardly walk, that I went to the doctor. By then it was too late. It wasn't a frozen shoulder, it was breast cancer that had spread into my shoulder bones. I had lots of tests before they found the cause. I'd had none of the usual early symptoms of breast cancer, such as lumps, and didn't know I had it.
Go to your doctor, and get your mind put to rest.

Only a doctor can diagnose cancer. Depending on what type of cancer there are signs you can lok out for ie) lumps in the breast could be cancer but could also be harmless.
Have regular smear tests (if you're a female) and if there are any noticable changes anywhere on your body go and ask your doctor. You can't waste his/her time after all that is what they get paid for.

You need to get tests done to determine if you have cancer. There are many types and many symptoms. If you think you may, you need to see a doctor.

there are so many types of cancer, therefore many different tests for the specific types. different kinds of cancer also have very different symptoms or no symptoms at all. so as said above, please see your doc. (i had a hysterectomy because of recurrent cervical pre-cancer - which i wouldn't have known about until it was full blown cancer unless i had that pap smear!)
