Likely, this is just like the BS with the Al Gore and Bono questions. For those of you who are unfamiliar, both of these upstanding Democrats asked their questions, and the "best answers" for both were provided by individuals whose single act on Yahoo! Answers was to answer their respective questions.

As one responder wrote when i detailed it, "the fix is in." Look for the best answer to come from a similar source: Level 1, no questions asked, one answer, 100% best answer. Without the "thumbs-up" points, that user will be stuck at 112 points forever.

No. I'm not sure, but I don't think Cindy Crawford has an appropriate degree or training in the medical field which would allow her to help find a cure for anything. And, if I'm not mistaken, soliciting, campaigning, and promoting is against the Y/A rules, but I guess it's okay for the Answers Team to bend or break the rules as they see fit.

I believe the question was about making a cure for cancer a global priority, I don't think she made any claims to actually finding a cure herself. That aside, I don't think it could hurt, in fact if it only serves to help educate people and provide information for families going through that terrible ordeal, it has served a useful purpose. Nothing is ever solved without open dialogue.

Maybe, She sure did get a lot of response, Global, Mass recognition from just the average class citizen, other than those whom swoon over her Pics anyway.

Cheaper than paying for an Ad. Assumes she is merely an individual such as ourselves, and relating to all of us on a different Level, gives her an opportunity to gather someone else;s opinion, other than the ones she is used to trying to relate with.

A cure for Cancer is not going to be Simple for anyone, we won't see the results in our lifetime anyway.

I think she is trying to raise awareness that there needs to be more research for a cancer cure. Which is not a bad thing, since she can reach more individuals more efffectively than ordinary people. I applaude anyone that is willing to put themselves out there to criticism for a good cause.

it might be simple, what is Cindy doing exactly, she's just gathering opinions, right? and i tell you, if we find a cure for cancer, won't other diseases come up? although she's getting good reactions and responses and i sure hope that she at least informs other people how lethal can cancer be.

No, and shes only doing this to give her reputation a boost.

If she was that dedicated to helping cancer patients, why the hell hasnt she donated 50% of her earnings to the cause?!

I'll give you a hint:

She's a greedy celeb just like all the other greedy celebs!!!!

No. Much like a lot of other things such as poverty and war, there won't ever be cures for every type of cancer. There will always be new types as we pollute our environment more and more.
