ok so i know i should go to my doctor to diagnos and tell me whats wrong but my insurance wont be active for another 3 weeks and im just a worry bug so i have to ask. please only respond if you know what your talking about or if you have experienced this. ok so i have a groin lymph node on my right side thats enlarged. it feels like a rubbery bean and it has been there for about 4 months now. it doesnt hurt, so thats why it worries me. ive had really irregular periods so im thinking maybe thats why its enlarged? i also had a bad infection last year and i had to take antibiotics so im thinking maybe that could be another reason why the lymph node is enlarged? how long does it take for it go go away? IF it were to be something bad like cancer or lymphoma, what other symptoms would i have? i had a blood test done like 2 months ago and everything was normal. i am only 19 years old too and dont have any cancer or lymphomas in my family history. what are signs of a cancerous lymphnode?

maybe about 2-4 weeks ago right near the top of the dark part around my breast there was a small very white circle type thing there. imagine a small white ball. very small. alittle smaller than a centimeter, well imagine something like that right in the area that i just explained. i saw it a coupke of weeks ago in the shower and i now today i was in the shower again and it's no longer a white very small bump but a red area thats is like a small bump. same area. and it feels kind of like a lump there or somthing. but it's red now and there is no sign of that small white ball(type thing) anymore. so i just don't know what it is.the red area is maybe an inch long and is circle-ish. please help me i'm scared and i'm hoping to get answers with experienced people that know about this. im going to be 15 in march so I really don't know what to do. and i haven't told anyone and i can't unless i really know that something is wrong. if you need extra info or answers plz ask and i'll add MORE info

My son is twelve and had chemo for non hogkins lymphoma when he was 4.He is now begining to worry about whether or not he will be able to have children ( I know its sad as he's so young but he's been watching a documentry about infertility)
Has anyone had chemo in childhood or had children who have had chemo and gone on to have children?
I feel its a little early to discuss this with his oncologist and there would be no way of knowing yet anyway.

The social worker is telling my retired mom (nearly 65) to deplete her IRA (her only savings) to pay for very expensive home health care (has no insurance and doesn't qualify) like TPN and nursing and such. Even if she did this, it wouldn't be enough to cover everything (she has cancer and it most likely will recur after this course of treatments).

Can the County hospital force her out like this? I don't think so but I'm unsure if anyone has any insight on this. The Dr. has been keeping her in for this reason until the chemo treatment reduces the tumor so she can eat again.

Thanks in advance everyone, and please don't tell me about social services because she does not qualify (this is going on 5 months and it's a mute point, they won't do it...it's a crummy State system)

Pain has been present for the past two years but has only become really persistent for the past two months or so. When I say persistent I mean 24/7.

Pain is present in back. It’s a dull, achy, shooting pain from just above my buttocks to under my left shoulder. Eventually the pain settles mid-back… in line with my navel but never passing the spine so that it spills over into the right side. At times there is a persistent itch, which seems as if it is coming from “under the skin.” Abdominal pain is present on the left upper quadrant, under the left rib cage. There is a dull, throbbing pain. When I press into the area, I feel discomfort but not as much pain as I would before pressing. I feel pain however upon sneezing, coughing or if I bear down as if about to have a bowel motion or pass a gas.. Speaking of that, gases have become difficult to pass at times and my bowel motions have become thinner than usually. Not pencil thin, but maybe only an inch and a half.

My Granny was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer Oct 06 and she I think is in her last moments of life. She cannot get out of bed, hospice is with her 24/7, she can barely speak except for light wispers and one can hardly tell what she is saying. She hasn't eaten anything in over a week except 3 spoonfulls of tomato soup she drinks less than 2 cups of liquid a day, she is lucid one moment and not the next. Can anyone give me a timeframe for her death, maybe, since I haven't been through anyone dying like this since I was a child and cannot remember. I know no one can give me an exact date, but approx. how many days does she have? I live 4 hours away from her and see her twice a week as it is. She is my beloved Granny and I love her, she is in very little pain, thank goodness. Thanks for your help!!

Okay, First had lump in neck, then felt lump in throat. Had ultrasound. They found a nodule on thyroid a little over 1 cm. They are sending me to an endocrinologist. (spelling?) Anyways,. I have the report of ultrasound. IT said the nodule was hypoechoic, only moderately well defined, Microcalcifications within it are suspected and it has central and peripheral flow. I am so upset. I read all of those things point to malignancy.. Please help me

Mum was diagnosed with secondary liver cancer on friday. All we have been told is that they cannot do anything for her except prolong her life with chemo or radiotherapy and that it is terminal. This will kill her in the end. The initial tumour was a hormone related breast tumour that was removed via a mastectomy five years ago. Does anyone know what the prognosis is likely to be? It sounds like it is advanced but until later in the week I cannot find out what stage she is at.
