Pain has been present for the past two years but has only become really persistent for the past two months or so. When I say persistent I mean 24/7.

Pain is present in back. It’s a dull, achy, shooting pain from just above my buttocks to under my left shoulder. Eventually the pain settles mid-back… in line with my navel but never passing the spine so that it spills over into the right side. At times there is a persistent itch, which seems as if it is coming from “under the skin.” Abdominal pain is present on the left upper quadrant, under the left rib cage. There is a dull, throbbing pain. When I press into the area, I feel discomfort but not as much pain as I would before pressing. I feel pain however upon sneezing, coughing or if I bear down as if about to have a bowel motion or pass a gas.. Speaking of that, gases have become difficult to pass at times and my bowel motions have become thinner than usually. Not pencil thin, but maybe only an inch and a half.

Additionally, side pain is present, from a bit below my hips and continues up to just under my breasts. This occurs on left side only. The pain is dull in nature, although sometimes it is stabbing.
Pelvic pain occurs on the left side. When I press there, I don’t feel discomfort but pain. There is an itching feeling. Right now I feel a persistent pain in the middle of my chest right above my rib-cage between my breasts, along with all the other pains.
I haven't been really constipated but sometimes it is a bit hard to get out, but yet it is soft... and kind of thin as I stated before. It has been like that for a week or so.
I'm not sure what's wrong but I am really worried that it might be cancer.
I'm 16, with no family history. I don't know what is wrong.... and I have other tests scheduled but I'm so worried.

I've done an ultrasound and the doc said it came out okay.

Back pain is usually referred to other parts of the body by nerves. For instance, it may be referred to your leg by the sciatic nerve. It could be cause by an infection or abnormality in another part of the body such as uterine disorders; disorders of the vertebral column such as inter-vertebral disk abnormality; local disturbances such as lumbar or sacral fractures, lumbosacral strain or sprain; structural inadequacies of supporting ligaments of the spinal column; muscle injury, myositis, or inflammation of fascial attachments.

The primary cause should be treated by a doctor. Muscle relaxants, heat, or whirlpools are a good form of treatment.

After an acute attack, several activities are especially good for the back: brisk walking, bicycling, and swimming.

If you feel uncomfortable going to the doctor, (as you may seeing that you have let it go on for a while) see a highly-recommended chiropractor. They've always done wonders for me.

Damn. Sounds like intestinal obstruction to me. Or possibly diverticumlum that has ruptured. You had BEST get yourself to the ER immediately if the pain is severe.

Been there, done that and I'm missing 85% of my colon. Do not mess with this.

You list this in Cancer, but I doubt that's what the problem is. Your symptoms could be caused by so many different things, it would be impossible to list them. Tell your doc and get an MRI. I'd start eating better, drinking lots of water, and exercising if I were you.

Make an appointment to have a colonoscopy. It could be something very simple, or it could be something very serious. Have it checked it is always better to catch things as early as possible, it gives the best chance of survival.
