Depends on the type of chemotherapy you receive. (There are many different types of chemotherapy drugs) And the regimen you get. (Different types of cancer are treated with different combinations of chemotherapy drugs given at different doses and different intervals: ie. weekly, every 3 weeks, once a month, etc etc. You should not take advice from other people who have received chemotherapy as most people have fairly unique experiences with there treatment. Two people with the same type of cancer may respond very differently to the same treatment. In general - common side effects of chemotherapy are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, changes in taste/smell, hair loss, and fatigue. If you or someone you know are going to receive chemotherapy treatments, side effects of the drug/drugs you will receive and the expected side effects and outcomes should be discussed in detail with the Oncologist prescribing the treatment. This is the best way to get your information. Good luck to you and yours.

Depends on the type of chemo drug, the dose etc.
Nausea is common but there are excellent anti-nausea prescription drugs. Weight loss if nausea present and lack of appetite.
Hair loss is possible, some don't cause this
Ringing in the ears with some but not all
A metallic taste in the mouth is possible.
Numbness (pins and needles) in the extremities which clears after treatment.
Most of the side effects can be managed with other meds.
Nothing to fear from this form of treatment.

It depends on what you are taking , the dosage and time you are on it.
Your immunes basically do not exists once you are on chemo. That is one of the important effects because you need to be careful who you are around so you don't sick. You skin gets dry and your hair and nails do not grow as fast. Sometimes you may loose all your hair. You can ask your Dr if you can take the supplement biotin. I know for many people who are on drugs that make them lose their that helps. My Mom has not lost any hair and she has been on methyltrexate (if that is how it is spelled?) for over a year and takes biotin. Chemo can cause nausea, tiredness, constipation as well as diarrhea.
Just talk over your concerns with your Dr and he/she should be able to help you.

Chemo is poison. Chemo is like a machine gun, it kills the good and the bad cells, and your immune system gets so weak for months.
