I already know that a high fiber, low sodium, and low fat diet lowers your blood pressure. DUH. What I can't seem to find is the reasons these things are true. I'm writing a paper on blood pressure and I've found so many great sources, but not one of them tells me the actual physiological reasons that this type of diet lowers blood pressure. If anyone could point me to some sources on this I would really appreciate it. Any doctors out there??? : )

My father in law is type 2diabetic. His doctor has told him not to eat any simple carbohydrates. He's only allowed to eat meat and vegetables, and as a result, he's lost a lot of weight, and he keeps on losing.
Is it necessary for him to be on such a strict diet? Any suggestion on anything else he could eat, possibly with higher calories?
Please I'd like advice from people who have experience on the subject. T
Thanks in advance.

Maybe i will get an answer this time?

Do you need more sleep and more rest when trying to get over seasonal allergies or does it not matter, since you aren't really sick?

I just found out my Dad has a brain tumor in his peituatory gland...he had one in the same spot 3 years ago, they operated and he was fine, but now it's back. He was told this time he would need an op and radiotherapy. Can somebody please tell me any helpful info on what this will involve, and possible dangers/side effects etc, cos I am really worried and would rather be well informed than kept in the dark!!

Thanks in advance :-)

Every so often my daughter develops what is almost like a "rash" of what appear to be mouthulcers. They develop specifically inside her bottom lip and are quite painful. I wondered what was causing this to happen and if it could be a possible signal of some sort of food intolerance as she does occasionally have pain in her stomach centered around the tummy button. Please help!!

Ever since I moved to Florida, I have been suffering from seasonal allergy, most of the time it gets into sinus infection or upper respetatory issue. My medical bill has of course increased, and my life is now limited for activities that I normally enjoy. Leaving the State is not an option. Help~!!

There is a dangerous virus being passed around
electronically, orally, and by hand.
This virus is called
Weary-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK).
If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your
boss, or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT!
This virus will wipe out your private life completely.
If you should come into contact with WORK, put your
jacket on and take two good friends to the nearest
grocery store. Purchase the antidote known as
Work-Isolating-Neutralizer-Extract (WINE) or
Bothersome-Employer-Elimination-Rebooter (BEER). Take
the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely
eliminated from your system.
You should forward this warning to 5 friends. If you
do not have 5 friends, you have already been infected
and WORK is controlling your life.
:-)
