I've heard some people carry magnets in their pockets because they say it provides a protective field around the body against radiation. Think there's any truth to that?

okay so i was just watching the news, and i didnt hear the name, but they found something that will prolong a rats life (for testing of course they used a rat[s]) But anways they said it worked. They're trying to figure out if it works on humans too. If anyone knows what im talking about, please tell me the name?
Also, i find this a bad idea. Come one! You're messing with "mother nature". When your time is up your time is up. What do you guys think?

I'm not lookin for herbal remedies that elevate mood, just want to know if you can generate or maintain serotonin levels within your own body somehow (example excercise?) and/or if you can eat foods (not herbal supplements) that provide or create or maintain serotonin levels.

I understand that colds cannot be cured with antibiotics, as they are viral, butat what time during the common cold should i go to the doc? Also, do you have any remedies? I live in a dorm, so firstly, I don't want to get my rommmates sick (because I don't want to get sick just as much as they don't)
