Alternative Medicine - November 2006

This is a repost because i just want some more input. Has anyone done the colon cleansing? If so where did you get the products? How long does it take. Can the results really look like the pictures you see on the websites?

I heard this can be costly in a hospital so I thought I would do it myself, in case my appendix ever burst. For the moment I am fine.

I have a table, knife, some cotton, a mirror and alcohol. I even have a bed and ice cream for post surgery.

I don't want anastesia and I'd like to give it a try myself. Any websites I should check out or does anyone know what to do??

There are a great many things that we know to be true and we know the steps how to achieve them. Yet, many of us do not.
For example, we know that eating more fruits and vegetables will give you longer life. Yet many of us do not.
We know that 8-10 glasses of water each day will assist in a great many body functions. Yet, many of us hardly drink ANY water.

Therefore, I assume it is Will Power which will allow us to follow the directions to a "T" and avoid harmful things. How do YOU increase YOUR Will Power?

There is way too much info out there for natural remedies. There is no naturopath in my area, so tips and hints that have worked for you on your kids would be helpful.

My 9 year old has asthma, which is brought on by allergies and heavy exercise - she is a sport nut. Her allergies are pretty bad too, but since she spends so much time outside for sports I hate to "dope her up" every day with allergy medicine. No allergy medicine = worse asthma, so then she is sucking back her puffer.

Any tips, good websites, etc would help! Thanks

i haven't eaten for a few days, all smells of food make me sick.i'm very thursty, as i drink water it makes me want to vomit. i'm very weak my heart beat is faster than usual. dr. once mentioned to me that i have low blood pressure,but said there is nothing he can give me there is no type of meds for low blood pressure. i tried drinking coffee,pop, chocolate candy and nothing seems to work. i am not hungry everything makes me want to vomit. what can i do to feel better without going to the hospital? please help !

I can see red bumps (blisters?) on my throat. Not white patches, so I don't think it is strep. I also have a cough and other common cold symptoms - no fever though.

Even attempts to control it with diet have not resulted in lowering the cholesterol. I do not smoke or consume alcohol. Also I am a strict vegetarian. I do not suffer from high blood pressure. It is normal. I am also not suffering from any other disease. I am 53 years of age.

I've been sick for about a week (mainly sore throat, some coughing lately) and I am having a hard time making time for a Dr appt.

The last couple days I've been experiencing some nausea on and off.

I have some major projects/presentations due this week and I can't concentrate on my work.
