It's a painted 2000 millennium silver eagle thats sealed in an original packaging, it's like in a card, with a sleeve. It explaines the weight and content and history. What is the difference between 'proof' and 'uncirculated'.. what else do I need to know?

Hi. This is a stupid question, I know. I don't tat....but I am printing off many patterns for someone who does. I can't ask them this question, as what I am doing is going to be their Christmas present and I don't want them to know.

I know there are two different methods to tatting: needle and shuttle. Personally I cannot do either and I do not exactly understand these patterns I am printing. What I would like to know is this: is there a difference in the pattern (the way it is written) for the two different methods? If a pattern was written for needle tatting, could someone who shuttle tats understand it and be able to make the same lace? Is it basically just one pattern, and the tatter decides which method to use...or must they only use one or the other (depending on how it is written)?

Thanks everyone!

The two machines we have been looking have been the Brother Innov-ís 80 and the Janome Computer decor 3050 models. I've been trying to find sites that would let me look at consumer reports on them and haven't had much luck. Or a site that would let me see which would be better compared side by side. Besides these two machines is there any others that would be great to look at? Thanks :)

Anyone know any websites I can go to? I do very well sewing together peices that are the same size and hand stiching.
I just want to advance them by making acutally designs like round items with squares.
So any websites with pictures? (i learn by seeing) I also learn by teaching myself. No one has ever shown me how to do a quilt i just figured out how to do easy ones :)
Or where would I try to find a meduim level skill class? craft stores? local quilting shops?
I do sew items such as cloths, just dont know how to do different shapes. Any links would be great!
Thanks!

I am looking to braid a lanyard out of round leather lace or a small diameter line. I DO NOT want boondoogle, gimp, or any other plastic. This is for an adult made by an adult. Any suggestions would be great. Iv searched the local library and craft stores and the best iv been able to come up with is Hemp jewelery.
