I like to crochet. I learned it when I was about 8 years old, and I really only have the attention span for one needle. I tend to drop most of my stitches when I knit, and it gets really aggravating.
I find I can crochet much faster because of the variety of stitch sizes, and I can make projects that look knit, or I can make flowy, open, lacy projects. I haven't gotten to the point where I can do that in knitting yet. However, if anyone knows a REALLY good way to learn knitting, would you mind messaging me?

I like crocheting better, but that's b/c I'm better at it than knitting, which I re-learned a couple of years ago. I like a lot of finished knitting products, but I'm not even near those yet. Ironic b/c my mom was a world cass knitter and taught others, but I could never get the hang of it back then.

Personally, I prefer crochet...probably because I can do it much better. I am clumsy with knitting needles. If you are trying pick one or the other, try to find someone near by your that can so one of them well. You now have your own instant teacher/coach. That would have been sucha great help for me. I am self taught. I sure wish I would have taken m Grandmother up years ago when she was alive but I was a kid then and had trees to climb. :-)

I love to crochet. I can't knit, but I would like to learn. It uses less yarn so that would be a plus!

i like them both, crochet has great texture and great for more open work. crochet is also better for fancier designs that knitting cant do. Plus crochet is alot faster compared to knitting.
knitting is great for find details and more of a close work and makes warmer clotheing and such.

This question is like asking: "do you like cake better of ice cream?"
They are different, you can do different things with them and they do go together well.
I do both and have done both since I learned them as kid in primary school.
I also think they are in the same class of difficulty, (not once you go beyond basics) and charm, (great if done well.)
