I was talking to this guy and I told him there are more females in the world than males. He doesn't believe me. I believe it to be true. However, what do you think is there more females in the world than the male population? Is there anywhere on the internet where you can find out the statistics to the overall population and how many are male/female? I know the stats aren't exactly on point, but they'll usually estimate it off.

I've seen ANACS coins designated "cleaned" that look great. What will a cleaned coin exhibit? Will it show haze, hairlines, brush lines?

Numismatically, how do cleaned surfaces look different from original surfaces?

hi. I just bought Sandra Betzina's excellent book, Fabric Savvy. In it, she refers to the layout of the fabric. In some cases she says "With nap" layout, in others, she says "without nap". I haven't been able to find on the internet what does this mean, and I'd love to know!

I found a very cute metal tin at the op shop with 'decorative cams' printed on the lid. The tin is about the size of three slices of bread stacked one upon the other. Inside it I found about twenty circular plastic things resting in metal slots which look like they would attach to something - perhaps a sewing machine?

What are they, and how are they used?

How much would it cost to have a custom Master Sword made by a blacksmith in the New York City area. Almost identical to the Master Sword from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess?

I saw this pattern on the internet and printed it off, but lost it somehow. It started out with1 or 3 stitches and then add on each row until the brim was started. it was reversed from the regular felt hat patterns. it was neat.

I don't mean the dietary zinc, I'm looking for pieces of metal to melt down. I know you can find it in pennies made after 1982, but those are illegal to melt (destruction of federal currency). So I wonder if there's some other common place to find it.
