I have some documents that belonged to my great grandparents and I was wondering if they are worth anything. Some of them are in really good shape. I hate to keep them around just to get ruined. I am running out of room to store stuff.

yes, take them (or mail registered) to a decent auction house near you, preferably on that has a few houses like a chain. Not just one little place on its own. Look them up in Yellow pages. Someone there will look at them for you. Phone them and ask for a name of the expert in paperwork who will be responsible for them for you. They will value them for free in the hope you will give them permission to sell them for you - but they d charge a commission upon selling at auction

depends on what they are if they are historical in nature, other than that they are pretty much of no value unless they have meaning to you .A great idea to do with these is to find a honored place or corner in your home and have them framed .They should be special to you ..unless you are just not one to care ,but well ..sometimes when people throw things out that belonged to someone they loved because they say we willl never use them ,years down the road they go oh God i wish I had them.. so hope this helps..

I heard someone's soul sold on Ebay for $1000 or something... So you could try Ebay. Although, if they aren't worth much money, they are probably not worth selling since the person they probably mean the MOST to is you, since they belonged to ancestors.

I would say if that they're of any historical significance, then they would possibly be worth something. If not, then someone may say it's only sentimental value......which really wouldn't be worth much. For your sake......I hope you get thousands of dollars for them. I wish you the best of luck.
