i used to watch my grandma quilt in the 80's

im only 27 now so i was still pretty young

she used some kind of stand to stretch out her quilt to add in the batting / cotton, what is this called or is there a way for me to quilt without this stand

i really would like to get started in quilting

When I put the fabric under the needle and lower the needle I am ready to do a straight stitch, however I get a perfect stitch on top of the fabric but the thread from the bobbin is all a jumble underneath the fabric. I have tried changing the tension to no avail. I have tried 3 diffrent spools of thread with bobbins to match and nothing, I know about needles matching thread size, but nothing changes. Thanks in advance!

My kids stepssister has a 3 year old who wants a Dora the Explorer blanket for Christmas, and she really can't afford one. So we thought we'd make her a quilt. (the first we being my kids, the second being me!) They are going through a really tough time right now, with her husband being injured, and her just having another baby they really can't afford any Christmas this year.

You place the correct quarter in the state. It has a place for one Sacagawea Liberty Golden Dollar. In the top left hand upper corner it says University Games 08000. It also shows each year the quarters will be coming out. I have one but it was to close to the hummitafier. It is my SONS so I need to replace it
