Christmas is looming on the horizon. Perhaps your mother could personalize a Christmas ornament for each of her staff.

Buy plain round Christmas ornaments, craft paint in various colors, and decorate each ornament with something that would be meaningful to the person she is giving the ornament to; i.e., someone of the Jewish faith, a menorah, someone who likes cats, rabbits, turtles, etc., a resemblance of that animal, maybe something as simple as a Christmas tree, holly, a poinsettia, a wreath. So many possibilities.

One year I got a really neat gift through the PTA (when I worked at a school). t was a snowman doorstop. They used white paving stones as the base. (It had two hexagon shapes - one small, one big.) Then they used fleece to make a scarf and a hat. They painted small dots for the eyes and buttons. Then put a nose on it. Very cute and not too hard to do! And it works for people that don't celebrate Christmas too.
