Put 2 chairs together and drape a blanket over it. With a little imagination, the tent can be a house, a castle, or a cave. Get lots of boxes. Same thing.....boxes can be spread around and stacked and can be a maze, or space ships, or airplanes. My son spent a full summer with a box. It was a car and a plane or fire engine. Then he put dirt and a pan of water in it to make bug world (outdoors).

Get little blocks of wood from Home Depot for building.

Browse at the library is always a fun experience.

Visits to the reptile section of the pet store helps to pass the time.

Play doh is fun. Decorating cookies or cakes. Painting, drawing and story telling. Have them start a story, you add to it, then they add to it, then you continue it, back and forth. Or, do the same thing, and illustrate it. It becomes nonsensical, but becomes a wonderful creation.

Good Luck!!!
