I want to copy a whole bunch of pictures that are not digital for a scrapbook for family across country. Is there a way to do it rather than stand at the kodak machine for 2 hours? Can they top load them behind the counter like on a copier?

You can always scan them to get them into a digital format. The nice thing about this is that you could then upload the files on to a web photo processing site and then anyone that wants to access them could do it. They could also pay to print the ones they want instead of you having to foot the bill for printing and shipping. Good sites for this are:
www.winkflash.com
www.snapfish.com
www.shutterfly.com

You may be able to find a scanner that you can purchase that will scan a "stack" of photos, but be sure that the pictures don't have to curve around in the scanning process. Be sure that they stay flat as they go through the machine.

Good luck and have fun!

I scan and edit mine at home, upload them to the Walmart.com site, have them printed for 12 cents a copy and also have them put on a CD for future use.

If you don't have a scanner and have loads of photos, it might be cost effective to purchase. I have an HP printer/copy/scanner that is fantastic. It was inexpensive and very user friendly.

I scan mine in at home, then edit them in my photo program. If that's not an option, take onlyl so many each visit so it's not a chore.
