Anybody ever remember dip 'n drape? I have fond memories of it in my house hold and so I went on a hunt and found it... Too cool if you ask me.

I just went to my first renaissance faire and I'm hooked. I want to go to next year's faire decked out in period garb. I want to go as sort of a "mercenary/badass" kinda guy. Y'know, the black leather body armor, sword, studs, etc. I started off by buying a pair of really cool bracers. That's my starting point. I'll build the rest of the costume around them. I have painfully thin legs so I'd rather not opt for tights or a kilt.

I have just thought that I would like to make a real Samurai sword. What equipment would I need, materials, skills, etc.

How much do 'designer' swords sell for?

Is there a market for custom swords outside of Japan?

It just came to me whilst watching Jeepers Creepers 2 when the farmer was making a weapon i.e. blacksmithing on an anvil.

I thought it was about time that i gave you another poem. When at last my time has come
And theres nothing more to do,
When I finally close my eyes,
I know i'll be with you.
I have waited oh so long,
Seems like forever and a day,
I know that you'll come for me
And guide me on my way.
I know i'll be in no pain,
Tears i'll shed no more,
That you will take me by the arm,
And lead me to the door.
I have waited patiently,

Seems like it's been forever,
But I know i'll see you once again,
My darling daughter Emma.

I'm working on a story and I need help. I need the name of this rope trap: You tie the rope to a strong tree branch and make a knot (Need knot name too) to make a loop. It's often used to catch rabbits in the forest and stuff, and when your feet gets caught in the loop, you or the animal get catapulted upwards. Your feet is stuck in the loop, and you're hanging upside down...

If you don't understand my description, just imagine it in your head. I really need to know this name for my description. The type of knot used would also be useful. If anyone knows, please answer! It's not too urgent, but I need to know.

Also, I chose hobbies and crafts since some people actually study knots and things like this as a hobby... They should really have a miscellaneous category >_>

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers. :)
