if you know how to sew or know someone who is willing to sew for you -- you can find a lot of period costumes for the fair in pattern books(simplicity, McCall's, butterick, etc).
at this time of year, costume shop are opening for Halloween -- you may or may not find what you are looking for in these shops.
final place -- in your search engine, type in Renaissance Costumes(or clothing). you will find a lot of sites that sell or make Renaissance clothing. i would suggest searching each site. you may have to go to several different sites to get what you are looking for.
good luck in your search.

You need shirts and pants and maybe a cloak, too.
Simplicity patterns, at any WalMart store, look through the books, find the pattern number, go to the corresponding draweer, by brand name and number. pull the pattern in your size, relly, it's a chick secret, but you really do pull your own patterns, find the yardage required in the veiw of your choice then start at the $1 a yard table and look for material you like or can afford.
Buy all the trim as listed on the pattern and the thread, if you don't sew or know someone who does, you generally pay the cost of the materials to someone to assemble your gear.
Also, do not rule out the biker leather shops, they do custom work all the time if you have a picture to work from

Try this costum:
You need a vest with embroidery patterns as the liz flower, sign of France.
Also a Wide jacket with the collar of white fur and the color burgundy.
Then the trousers is kind of capri but wider. This trousers finish down the knees, made in velvet.
Try to find a bijoux of fake gold with big squares to use it as neckless...

How about the "Porthos" ensemble?
Not cheap, but if you sew (or know someone who does), this could be an inspiration (full pants, high boots, doublet/shirt) Don't go with fake leather, if you want to do a leather doublet or jerkin- the real stuff will breathe better, which is a real advantage when you're wearing that much fabric.

You could always rent a costume. Or you could make a knights outfit out of tin. Then you could go as a joker with the silly hat and shoes with the bells. But nothing REVEALING!! I have seen someone do that and it was sick!
