I'm sure the bill is from Yugoslavia. It was printed in 1981 and has the series BA 0876082. I've seen pictures of it in internet and it ooks authentic but when I touch it is very thin (500 pound bond paper-like) although somewhat textured and has no watermarks or laser markings. Maybe I'm just too used to Canadian bills but I would still like to know if there's a way to prove it is authentic.

I have recently found some documents that belonged to my grandfather. They were in a damp place and there is mildew on some of them. How do I stop the mildew and prevent it from spreading without damaging the paper itself? Once I have done this, what is the best way to preserve the documents?

I have asked this question previously, and was referred to paper restoration professionals. I want to do this myself, so please your personal experiences only.

I make beaded jewelry and I'm always looking for unique metal components such as chandelier earring components, hammered metal links, and unique pendants. It seems as if all the websites I've visited offer the same products. I always see other designers using beautiful components in their pieces, so I know they are out there somewhere; I just can't seem to find them.

I'm looking for a "manly" color for a scarf I'm making for my uncle for Christmas. Any ideas as to which color. I plan on making one for all the family members, but looking for ideas.

No way to ask their favorite colors. A lot of my family are scattered about, at least until Christmas.

I was curious if anyone else here collects teapots. I've collected them for quite a few years now. My most collectable one is a Chinese teapot from the 1950's. The I have that's most adorable though is Snoopy sitting on his doghouse.

Does anyone have any tips for helpful websites to help me learn more about knitting (and crochet, too)? Either that, or a book I could purchase, or just something that would help me, because I really enjoy it, but I want to get better at it and broaden my skills. Thanks for any help.

Say that you make something from someone elses pattern and sell it on eBay...that is bad. Say that you make it, wear it for a few times, and then sell it...that is not bad. What is the rules regarding that? If you make some changes to someone elses pattern and remake it as your own, you can get away with it. Does anyone know the rules about that?

Specifically I am interested in making clothing for reenactments. I want to make the garments historically accurate. The existing patterns are excellent, but I don't want to rip any one off.

I'm interested in any URL's to good knitting swaps anyone here might use or know of. I've done a net search, but not found that many. If you're used one of the swaps, and know they are reliable, I'd love to know the website to go to.

Thanks.

While going through a box lot of stuff i won at an auction I found a cigar box of loose world stamps. Most of them are pretty common {King George V stamps from England, German 'Deutches Reich' stamps from 1930s- the end of WW2, Russian ones from the 50s and 60s, etc} BUT there was one in a small plexiglass case with a label reading '1859 VF MNH [very fine grade, mint- never hinged], 5gr Thurn and Taxis' Do I have a potential gold mine here moneywise?
