Hi! I would like to buy a few Star Trek hobby kits (USS Enterprise 1701 & 1701-A). I am quite a beginner, so I would prefer to start on cheaper (if less accurate) models to get the feel of it, then progress on. Is there a website or store that sells model kits at a reasonable price (since I will probably spoilt the first few)?

I don't mind getting "old" kits eg AMT/ERTL kits although I prefer not to buy over Ebay as I have no experience with it.

I am on a pretty tight budget, and am looking for some ideas on Christmas gifts for my 3 year old son. I would love to buy him one of those kids workbenches with the tools and pieces they can make stuff with, but I dont think its in my budget unfortunately. Other than playdough, building blocks, and books...Do you have any ideas?

I imagine there MUST be some out there. There has to be at least SOME $5 Half Eagles, $10 Eagles, and $20 Double Eagles being put into circulation by accident or by theives who don;t know what they have stolen.

Is the 5, 10, and 20 denomination stamped on the coin? Is is ever possible a thief or an idiot could look at it, see it was stamped Five Dollars and go and spend it on Whoppers?

I am a fan of building plastic model vehicles, like cars, trucks, and military craft. You remember these models as a kid - playing with the X-Acto knife and the dizzying model glue. I like to make models look as authentic as possible, but I would like to make some of them look crashed or junky...how would I go about doing this? How do you take a completed model and turn it into a junkyard creation?

Also, are there any websites or groups associated with this sort of thing? Basically, I want to destroy some finished models, but make it look like they were supposed to be built that way. Thanks for the help.

I'm a long time RPG player. I haven't tried the MMO version, for a couple of reasons. First of all, I've had bad experiences with playing online games that are dependent on other people...Most of them have been too stupid to own a computer, let alone try to use it in a social setting.

I also don't really have the ability to log on when others say I need to be there...It really needs to be something that I can join when I have the time, but not worry about when I don't.

Anyone have any suggestions on good games that would allow me to interface with others on a when-I-want and with-who-I-want kind of basis?
