When your trial runs out, you will have to own one of the three main Guild Wars games: Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall to continue playing. You only need one, and it doesn't matter which, so if you buy Nightfall, you are fine.

You can buy these on-line directly from PlayNC, from a store inside the game, or from a real world store. From on-line you can expect to pay about $30 per game.

You will probably find the games cheaper in real stores, however, since they are a couple of years old and stores will probably discount them.

When trial is over, it has to give you a choice where you can continue using that account after buying the corresponding product key on the in game store.

The client is available for free on their web site, but in order to play, you need to buy a product key.

You can buy it on any of these places:

1) In game store.
2) NC Soft web site.
3) Retail store. (only option where you get the box and manual).

You do need to buy the full game to continue playing it. It doesnt matter where you buy it. You can download from the guildwars site or from a local store. Just shop around for the best price.
