My daughter is 11, and when she comes home from school, I always find her snacking on things like chips, cookies, icecream.. unhealthy stuff.
What's something that I can buy her that is healthy?
I used to buy her yogurt, but she's sick of that now.
Any ideas?

My wife bought a box of the pepperidge farm goldfish 100 calorie packs and it is more packaging than food. Also I could have bought a regular bag (which has more in it) for a dollar cheaper. We own a dietary kitchen scale so she can weigh out a serving as it says on the back of the package and make her own one serving package by throwing the measured out goldfish in a plastic baggie. Also I sat down and watched some tv and ate two of them in one sitting because I felt jipped after eating one tiny bag. Thats almost as bad as those 100 calorie Three Musketeer candy bar 2 packs, even though the snack size bar is basically the same thing and you get 6 more bars for the same price. Is there a purpose to the 100 calorie pack madness?

Like (completely wrong, but...) Neusfrauthal or something.

Anyway, what is the difference between Cream Cheese and that anyway?

I spent 3 years in Deutschland. I loved it. Especially the Auto strasse. I love food (forgive my spelling) some favs. were yager-brot (like a brot but soft inside filled with ground beef and spicy), Calamari rings from the IMBUSS. Gyros from the Wine Fests. Bratwurst I could never really eat alot of Knachwurst. Schwank Brauten,Bier mit Lemonade. Pom Frittes, Hanchen (the chicken in a bag that melted off the bone), and mayonnaise on Pommes Frittes. Red Cabbage and Schnietzel lots and lots. And cookies and Black Forest Cherry Cake. I remember buying a whole bag of cookies from the backerei on Base for a couple of dollars or marks. And the bier I will never forget "Perminator" outside of the base at the Chateau club near Lautzen Hausen germany near Buchebueren.

i hear that salt preserved matured sturgeon fish eggs is what they put in the most expensive food there are

when i heard there really was such thing as the $1000 pizza, $1000 dessert, and the $1000 omlet

caviar was in all of them

give me a break sure maybe the labor put into the dishes strait from scratch itself can cause such outragious prices but

is the tasted worth it?

I recently registered at Williams Sonoma and have collected a number of those molds that come with their gift wrapping. What are they? Are they butter molds? Tart dishes? Madeleine tins? Also, what are the other "tools" on the presents?

Thanks!

I want it to be really romantic, something that go's good with a wine. I'd like it to be something no one's ever made him or maybe he's had it, but not like this.

I am thinking about going to culinary school. I have been looking at Le Cordon Bleu in Las Vegas, Nevada and at Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California.

Le Cordon Bleu is 15 months and of course cheaper but a great location. CIA is 22 months and much more expensive but is a nicer looking school and actual college campus.

I've heard people say it doesn't really matter that employers are more interested in work experience than eduation. What do you think?
P.S. I have no experience other than cooking for family and friends and small gatherings.

Yeah, i know it's a crazy question. I need something moldy for my microbiology class by next tuesday, but i don't have any moldy food.

I put a slice of bread and a sliced pear out on my counter, but i don't know if they will get moldy but next tuesday.

any ideas anyone? I need something with some serious fuzzy moldly growth on it, but please, nothing stinky like old spagetti or a stinky 2 week old dinner left over. more like a fruit or bread or something.
