My friends boyfriend has been visiting her. She lives in the USA and he lives in the UK at the moment. It's his last day and she wants to cook him a lovely meal. He doesn't like seafood and she can go shopping for anything required as long as it is available in a standard supermarket.

What would you suggest to make it special?

What are some common fast food places that have party trays or catering with enough food for a small get together (about 10-15 people)? Ex: Chic-fil-a had fruit tray and chicken nugget tray, McDonalds had a bucket of 50 McNuggets, etc. Can you think of any others? I live in FL, so I know whats common here might not be so common from where you are, but still suggestions would be nice.

I was wondering where you all save the most money when buying bulk food and drinks. I'm hosting a tailgating party this Saturday, and I'm debating whether I should shop at a grocery store, Target, or Wal-mart. What do you all think?

I will have over about 10 adults. The party will be very simple and casual. I prefer to serve finger foods and give out cool "trinkets" in the door bags (for guys and gals). I just don't know where to begin.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make my halloween pumpkin last longer? They always go all floppy and fury in the middle and I wondered if there was anything I can do to stop this from happening so soon?

My favorite is "Chunky Monkey" because it has banana, (I think) chocolate Hersey, and nuts. I go crazy for that ice cream which is by Ben & Jerry.
I also love Queen Dairy, the pecan mudslide.

For holidays and such, we (me, my hubby & 2 kids) have dinner with my in-laws. Time after time I am asked to bring one thing.....veggies & dip. They bust their behinds putting on a BIG dinner and when I ask "What can we bring?" It's always veggies & dip. I am sick of bringing veggies & dip. A moron can make veggies & dip.
Anytime that I have suggested to bring something else, it's "Oh Maria is bringing that" or "Angela has lots, so she'll bring those. Don't worry about it!"
Their table always looks like a Martha Stewart magazine.
We live in a small townhouse and just don't have room to serve dinner to 15-16 people. They all live in houses, so they take turns. Please note that I ALWAYS help with the clean up. That's a lot of dirty dishes. So let's use the china & crystal cause Katie will wash it!!
In case you're wondering why we don't have meals with my family: My mom passed away 12 yrs ago. My dad & sister aren't interested in family dinners. Brother spends with his own family.
